CRUSADE- A TERRAN CAMPAIGNThis is a Terran campaign focusing on the regression of Raynor's forces from their hideout on the planet Aridus (made up by me). Raynor himself is a playable hero throughout most of the campaign as he leads you first to your new home, then on a crusade to wipe out the Zerg presence in the Koprulu Sector.
This is basically a tie-in to my story
StarCraft: Armageddon.
My progress is as follows (will be updated):
1.Ruin
[progress]100[/progress]
(Done!)
2.Salvation
[progress]100[/progress]

This may or may not be followed up by a Protoss and/or Zerg campaign.
PROGRESS REPORT: Finished Level Three.
Wow, Lot's of map's in production, Good luck with them all, You better have patience to finish them all
, And don't abandon them all =-O.
The first two are both almost done. Just a couple more triggers and No. 2 is finished; then it's on to the first mission, which is quite a bit more trigger-intensive.
After that, well... I haven't really got any cohesive plans for thereafter.
I've played many campaigns, and I still like the Blizzard ones the best. The others, for the most part, seem easy and ill-conceived.
Please make me change my opinion.
As a matter of course, the first two maps are going to be rather simple. This is just to introduce the story to the player.
The next 4 maps, I have no plans whatsoever for. I'll try to make them nice and hard, as you suggest.
Heh, of course, there's always the Ultralisks at the end of level 1 to deal with.
Bumpage again. Maybe I'll work a bit on the maps. I'll keep you posted.
True Bumpage is difficult to come across, in a forum such as this. Let this thread be a reminder of what it is like to keep yourself on the front page.
Wow...
Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see a quintuple-post?
You see a long string of bumpage. Bumpage really doesn't count as consecutive postings. Also, one of them was an addition to another.
Sounds good. If you can get some screenshots of them. What could be a very good idea that I always liked, but never really found in the blizzard campaigns is having something carry on to the next campaign. This kinda makes it easy i.e. when you are just about to win you go max goliaths or something and if they carry over then you have max goliaths the next stage. What you could do is have a spot where you drop units for the next stage and then have it very small so you can't fit much in it. It would also make very hard to just make them carry on because they are different maps with different triggers
. If you can make it work it would be cool
, but if you can't then you can't. If anyone knows how to make it work that would be great
.
Sorry, but that kind of intensive triggering is beyond my humble capacity.
Ya, I kinda fiugred that
, but you could have some of them like zerg mission 3 expantion, where the object is to get 100000 min and then you keep them for the next mission or something like that. You could have the objective bring 12 goliaths to a certian spot and then start out with them the next mission (you have to do it so you can just start it out, no fancy triggering.) These things are not as good, but they still make it feel like you don't just say to your army, okay you stay here and if anyone comes fend them off (who cares if there are 450183221 covering the surface of the planet, they will help if someone can land.)
It makes it fell kind of better, but then you need to make the campeign 12 goliaths harder.
Heh. My second level, everything that will form the base when you get to the new planet is in the Dropships. I explain off the fact that your Fleet isn't there anymore by saying that they are engaged in a space battle with the Dominion forces guarding the planet you land on. They distract the enemy fleet whilst you land your ground forces and wage war on the ground Dominion forces.
Ya, thats good. As long as you have a reason for not having your army come with you. Mabey they need to clean up the rest of the planet (you only took out a stronghold) or something like that. If your army does come with you then you can just put like a fairly strong army (a few siege tanks, goliaths, wraiths, and mabey one or two battlecrusers.)
Don't give up!
Half of the fun in making a campaign is rationalizing the plotholes.
Anyways, I'm sorry to report that progress has ground to a halt. (I had all the locations and terrain done on my third level, then forgot to save. Oh well...)
PAIN!!!
Anyway I'm happy people are listening to my advice or at least comenting on it. Remember: don't give up.
Well, no work has been done as of yet. I'll keep you posted.
Sorry to bring more bad news, but no work done since last post. However, I have high hopes and expect to be finished production by mid-June.
Well. I haven't done any work on this for 2 or more months. I, however, am going to make the map for part three today, do the triggers over the next two days, then the briefing on Thursday hopefully.
I hope it turns out okay. I'm giving up StarCraft for this campaign, if only temporarily.

erm...if you want to be able to make stuff carry between missions you should:
1: have worked on the blizzard campaigns
2: or go learn wc3 triggers and save real variables into game casches as the # of units on a wc3 map
Oh sure, I'll go right ahead and do that... except the WC3 editor isn't compatible with SC. Too bad.
At any rate, I'm ahead of schedule (got all the triggers going.)
ADDITION:
Level Three is done!
ADDITION:
Well. I need testers! Since three of the six levels are done, I'm going to need to have it fair for the general public. So, if anyone was interested... here's Levels One and Three.
