Natural Selection
A Mod from Counter-Strike
7 Players; 1 Marine Commander, 3 Marines, and 3 Aliens. (1 Computer)
Roles; The commander builds, upgrades, and supports the marines. The marines main objective is to protect the commander, and destroy the aliens. Marines receive weapon upgrades, and armor upgrades through the commander. Aliens try to build all their hives (3), and with each new hive bringing a new ability.
Commander; The Marine Commander has an array of buildings that are able to be built through a tech tree (still being worked on). There are turrets that can attack any alien, and seige turrets that can attack only alien buildings. The commander can research better weapons and armor. He/She can also research abilities for the marines such as Motion tracking, or grenades.
Weapons for Marines; The marine starts with the basic Light Machine Gun or LMG, and Light Armor (LA). He/She also can get the shotgun, Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), and Grenade launcher (GL). The GL follows the player as a corsair, and uses distribution web to fire a grenade (4 shots a clip, can hold 10 clips). Heavy armor (HA). Motion Tracking mini-map pings the locations of all moving aliens. If a marine dies it is respawned 10 seconds later, at an infantry portal.
Aliens; Aliens start as the basic unit a skulk. Small and quick, and if you let them get to close your a goner.The first ability of the skulk is parasite, the second is leap, and the third is xenocide. They can travel through vents, and climb up walls. Gorges are the builder for the aliens. Their abilitys are heal Spray, the 2nd is bile bomb, and the last is web. The lerk is a flying unit (controlled by defiler). Its first ability is poison spores, then umbra, and finally primal scream. The Fade is a marine sized melee unit. Its first ability is blink, then metabolize, and finally acid rocket. The Onos is a huge unit that has large amounts of hp. It can digest, stomp, and charge. If any alien dies it respawns at one of the 3 hive locations. (More information on the abilities as my map progresses).
