Anyone know which black tile it is that is walkable?

(not sure if this is map assistance or terrain...)

If you are using badlands, try searching for an ashphault tile that is completely black.

I don't think there is a walkable black terrain, In the instalation tileset, Unless you find some completely black terrain to walk on.

The seach forums button is more useful than you think, huh? Well, actually I just remembered the topic becuase my friend started it, so here is a detailed answer.

Here is the straight forward, yet working, answer.

There is a certain null tile where it allows you to place units on and walk on... I did this once but i can't exactly remember... it's either the null tiles to the right of the Water tiles or to the right of the Creep Tiles.

thanks! smile.gif

ADDITION:
uhhh.... 1-13 with a preplaced unit on it in sf didnt seem to work

ADDITION:
i think it has to do with my terrain being in installation....

1-14 should work on any tileset. I've showed you my mass game with units walking on space, right kow?

EDIT: Ok I read the topic and no one knows what the censored.gif they're talking about.
  • Certain null tiles (1-14 for example) can be walked upon.
  • You cannot pre-place units on it or you'll get a unit unplaceable error. They must be put there by a trigger or dropped there by a drop ship or whatever.
  • All null tiles (all that I’ve seen anyway) show up in the space platform tileset as space.
  • You can order a unit off a walkable null tile onto any other tile (walkable or not) but you will lose control of the unit if you order it onto un-walkable terrain.
  • Units cannot walk from normal walkable terrain to null terrain.

That's about it.

or just put some creep on "normal" null terrain and it'll be walkable
or just 1-13 or 1-14 like othere ever said
both of them warning : if you make a river between two of them on each part of the river, players will be able to swim !

The creep thing will not work for all null terrain, and for the ones it does work on, you can only walk on the parts covered with creep.

I already mentioned the walking on water thing.

I already did that one of my experiment maps before Void found out smile.gif

ADDITION:
Here's a map that doesn't allow you to walk on black terrain http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=1720

I use the tile right after the Creep tiles, on installation all the creep tiles (that are missing) somewhat work, but i think the units start to wonder around like they would if there on invalid terrain/a building/other units.

Just go through the nulls to the right of terrains you can walk on (thats what i did) because all terrain have the same properties.. usually. If you can walk on that terrain u can walk on that null. I learned this finding a good tile.

Just play around
