Staredit Network -> StarForge -> Matching Terrain

Ok heres the question: How can I make the terrain scheme the same in a map? Not the doodads, but the actual terrain. Example - In the Installation Tileset, the walls can have computers on the walls, or just a regular wall, or something else. How can I set it to say, all computers on the walls? I was told you can do that with StarForge.

You have already made a trhead about this and you were told to make a brush with it. You could've jsut continued in that thread.

To be a little more explicit, go to the terrain layer in Starforge. Right-click until whatever brush you have selected gets deselected. Then drag a selection box around the terrain you want to copy. Right-click on it, and select "create brush." Then you can place that terrain anywhere you want.

You can modify brushes once you have created them, or create them from scratch. You can select any tile ffrom the default palette or the master palette and place it on the brush. If you use one from the default palette, it will "randomize" that tile, so it will take one from that tile group. This is indicated by a "R" on the brush. If you right-click on a tile in the brush editor, it will become transparent and will not change the terrain underneath it when it is placed. This is maked by a "T" on the tile.

Lastly, this should be obvious, but you can load and save sets of brushes. There are premade brush sets for all the doodads in the data folder.
