okie here's the idea for when mods close a topic, Once the topic is closed or locked, Whatever. And evrey one has posted and its locked. On the bottom of evrey one's post where it sais reply, It shoulden't say reply if it is closed, I know that it sais the topic has been closed once you click on it, But if it sais closed, It will save evrey one time, And exspecially the people with a 56k modem, Take 5 minute's to load, Just to get a message that sais "The topic has been closed".

Just an idea ermm.gif

Why though? The reply is to quote the person and send you to the text box.

You will know when it is closed because you will click on the topic that has been closed. No point to change every single thing in everyone posts so there is no "reply" there.

The reason it's taking 5 minutes to load is because if sigs/avatars. Go to your controls and disable viewing them and watch how much faster the pages load.

It shouldn't take too long to load pages regardless. Your browser should be caching everything.

You know, in all my existance at SEN, I have never used that reply button. I use the one that tells you if the topic is locked or not.

but reply makes quotes easy,

I agree with puni sometimes i dont relize that a topic is closed expecially if i'm checking on a prevouse post in it that i made, and dont relize that it got closed.

I would like to add that I quite often find that pages on SEN take a while to load - not 5 minutes long, but around 1-2 minutes per page sometimes, much longer than other sites take to load on my broadband connection (ADSL). It's not a big problem, but it's annoying to wait around all the time while every page loads.
I was wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing.

But then, I'm loading the page from Australia; that would exaggerate the problem.

I load pages in about 2 seconds. 2.5 if my cache is cleared. Btw i don't use cable, I use DSL.

Make sure your cache is allowing to have SEN stuff on it (Hard to explain for me pinch.gif), unless your using Firefox. Becuase if you are, clearing your cache will solve all your bugs to everything wink.gif.
