Hello all again, Here is yet another melee map. Hopefully its as good as my other melee map (4)Highlands.. If not a little better. I have sent 4 days on this map.. Testing and trying new things. So far i think its pretty much balanced for all players and races..

Your best map so far. It was trully a good game we played =). Here's what I thought about it:
- Need more expansions, defenatly. Perhaps 2 mineral-only fields on the western and eastern island would spice things up (since right now its pretty useless to actually take that road. Give us a reason to
). Be sure to keep the whole area big enough for great battles, though.
- Both natural bottom expansions need more space... Much more space (the 2 behind teal and purple). Compare both of them to the top ones, you'll see the difference. Perhaps you could just erase the main base's minerals, make the ledge bigger, and add them again. Adding more land to the top of them would also help to balance the thing over (more land to go down the ramp).
- Some expansions are a bit of pain to get. What I mean by that is that you cannot make a Nexus/CC/Hatch near all of the minerals, since only a tiny square stops you from doing so. You'd want to test that each Main buildings can enter there without getting too far away from the minerals (test that with a start location if you wanna edit your map).
- I like how you added alot of cliffs everywhere: Allows for easy scouting without being easily spotted by an ennemy (or a lazy player
). I don't think it poses a problem either for Siege Tanks since they're all quite far from any very strategic locations.
- Everything else is perfect; Starting location is big enough, each bases have the same advantages and disadvantages, expansions @ top and bottom are both fine.

The bottom players have a slight advantage because of ramp placement.
Terran has a big advantage because most of the map is composed of cliffs. Zerg will have a hard time with this and all those chokes in the central area of the map and protoss can pretty much turtle and/or attack main bases beacsue they can't manuever easily throught the middle area of the map.

Chris, heres a karma for giving nice, informative, constructive criticisms. There should be minerals on east and west.
The bottom two have an easier time defending because the ramp is on thier side. If a top player wanted to assault them, they would have to go around to the ramps, therefore they would be attacked for longer, as opposed to the top two hills, the bottom players could go right up and take control. They could use these posts against them.
One more thing I would like to add, the middle expansion, it is too easy to be assaulted. Opposing players can just drop tanks or other ranged units on top and have thier way with the player in the middle (not like that expansion is worth while). Plus you can fit more turrets / cannons / spores on the right side behind the minerals than the other side. Thus making the left side easier to attack.
I say this base is not worth it because you can fit one CC in the middle, and it is so far away from some of the minerals it would be a waste of time to go there. You may want to fix that.
And here is another suggestion, if you want to make the middle a very strategic area, add 3-4 maybe even 5 mineral patches outside, and on the left and right sides of the middle expansion. This would make the middle a much more important part of the game, and it would give more usefulness to all those cliffs that are in the middle.
BTW, this map is much better than your others. Nice work. 8/10

Heheh Thank you all. I have edited the map and i think i fixed all the problemes and changed a few things..I hope it plays better.
I'd say... Personally, I think there's too many minerals in the middle now
. Might want to remove 1 or 2 patches. And the 3 middle expansions are too close to each others.
What I ment with eastern and western expo was on the island-like places at the edges of the map. The middle will be a big-enough place to possess as for now, we don't need to have to deffend 3 expos at the same time, at the same place
The 2 bottom expansions still needs ALOT of modification. A CC/Nexus/Hatch can still barely fit in there.
Yea, Silly of me really, Maybe one to many in the middel.... Here is another updated version, Ive tried to fix bottom areas, Hopefully they work better:
heres another suggestion, you see the two mineral only expos on either side of the middle? take out the ramp. you dont HAVE to, but its a bit unblanaced as it is. Plus you dont have any expansions you cant get to at the moment, so you might as well.

Now it's a bigger problem for siege tanks, since there's actually something worth defending up there, and if some guy settle up there, it'll be fairly easy to control all the access this side of the map, especially if you're at 10 and the opponent is at 7...
- Again, what I meant was to the EDGES of the map, the 2 places to the left and the right I circled. These places need more things in there (not worth going by this side as for now). You might want to move your mineral-only expos on there.
- The 2 bottom expos looks perfectly fine like that, but you still might want to add more land where I added rectangles, since they don't have as much land as the top bases, that little additionnal chunk of land will help a bit. The ramps shall stay there (Yenky's point: It'll be harder to reach the expo that way, like the top area).
- In the middle, I only suggested you remove SOME of the minerals (like the lil X I did). It'd probably be better if you would do it like you did in your last version, but just remove 2 or 3 mineral chucks.
