ne time i try to make a map n try to play it... it crashes and i try to make another one it still crashes! i use scm toolkit and sc xtra editor

You're probably placing units that crash SC, using something invalid, etc.

I dont like SCMtoolkit, it screwed up some of my maps. Use starforge instead. Here is the solution to your problem:
Open Xtra Base Editor and use that. If you use that, the chances of crashing are minimal.

Look for units extending OFF the map. If you cant see the whole unit on the map in the editor then you have a problem.

The specification of your machine. Hardware stuff, like CPU, Hard Disk, RAM, etc.

I use Xtra Editor and ive ran into the problem a couple of times, there a couple of symptoms... a few you guys have already said like Unusable units such as the Independent Command Center, other are unit extending to far off the map, Another is to many units bunched together as if your using the Special mode of Xtra editor.
