The first prerelease version of Scmdraft 2 0.5.5 has just been added to the beta site on Stormcoast Fortress.


Possible bugs:
QUOTE
    * Screen fails to update with changes until scrolled

    * Title fails to update with a * when the map was changed

    * Undo does not undo an action



New features:

    * Ability to zoom the map view

    * The object tree has been extended to include not only terrain and units, but sprites and doodads as well.

    * A new profile selection and edit window so you can have a profile for each mod you work with

    * All settings are now stored in the registry, the .ini file is no longer required.

    * The terrain palette has been redone, in addition the basic brushes are available in the main window

    * The backup system has been changed to an integrated database (Advanced menu)

    * The doodad window has been redesigned

    * You may now specify exactly which type of grid you wish to use

    * The debug menu has been left active for your enjoyment

    * When checking for updates, a window with progress will appear and it will list all changes if a new version has been released

    * You can now preview a players fog of war exactly as it would appear in game

    * Many minor tweaks, bugfixes, new options

yea, i dont know how to open the filetype. i tried to use the appropriate file from the list but no page came up either.

Same, I'm using FIrefox as well. Even though you rename it into a .zip file, it still doesn't work pinch.gif

EDIT: It works now, I belive you have to save the file as name.zip

.zip files open with Stuffit Expander, no? Expanded just fine for me, and I'm on a mac!
It comes with TrigEdit... Now is SF and SCMDraft will battle to the death!

Yeah, it only saved as a zip file on IE. Not firefox, which I had to get out of.

ok, I hope it works for firefox now, messed with mime header settings.

This is onlky the windows version, the mac version will be released to private testers first once its ready.

For the windows version I invited about a dozen people.

We havn't decided how we are going to handle the mac release yet, we may have it open, or first 20, or just have people apply, its still all up in the air.

the private testers have had various versions for the last 3 weeks or so and listed quite a number of minor bugs and even a few larger ones smile.gif most of them are even fixed in this release (I think its at 99 / 130 fixed atm)
