Ok, here is my idea i think for movies u know .A good thing to put like speaking parts u kno recorded voices and play them when they speak so thier actually saying the words.Yes very true that it would be a very large map but the viewers get the like thier actally thier and they can hear them talk! Just an Idea!
I did that once for a singe player briefing... It wasn't very sucessful. The sound quality was horrible... It didn't match the speed at which the briefing was moving... An it just plain sucked. It is a good idea if you can make it work well, and not have a 10 gig map file.
yuo couldn't have people donwload it over b.net becuase it would be way to big of a file, and it it cant be downloaded that way then it would never become popular.
Unless you have very good equipment for recording things. You will get some static while recording. Which will make it sound bad.
Unit sounds can be used for that at no additional filesize expense. I did that in my Unit Conversations map (though it is a bit tedious timing it).
is there a stop wav trigger? i dont think so because ive never seen it. only play.
cause somtimes i want to make like an music stop right away when you reach a certain area.
the only way i know of is to make the song into lots os little parts and time them right, and when a condition is met it switches.
Every Windows computer comes with a narrator program. I think every Windows does. But you could use that to record. You can set the speeds to be the same all the way through what is being said. So you could match that up with the timing in the map. Plus, the narrator voice is cool.
Like this idea and don't know about narrator? Just open up your start menu, go to all programs, accessories, then accessibility and select narrator.
Just record this voice, which you can change and have all your fun stuff there. I find it fun to actually go through the Blizzard user license thingy with it on speed 9.
I have a mac with a sound recording program where ur allowed to shrink it to oblivian!!!! though the sound sounds like listening to a radio program from some desserted island or something... though u could make that a transmision!!! where the guy whose talkin to ya is being attacked and is stranded and crap... but it might be possible to not shrink it and it not be 238393 GBs.... (that was exaggerated)
What program is that!?!?
I need a good compressor for a mac.
That would be Sound Studio!
But i must warn u. it is not on my imac! i got it on my new eMac!
If u do, just put something like
-file, export with quicktime. then type in a
tiny number.
once again i must warn u. when u save with the Sound Studio, it comes out in multiple MBs... thats why i was searching for a compresser button thingie like mad!
I would do that... BUT it would take so so so so so so long...
When you were mentioning switches back there, change it to death counters.
Thanks,Thank all of ur posts guys
i might try it but ill try and make it small for sometime in the furture later Thanks again for ur post's

Not true.
It doesn't come on 95, 98, or, I believe, ME. The only one I know it comes on is XP. Personally, I use 98, my friend uses ME, and my school uses XP.
