If you play diablo 2, you should know what i'm talking about smile.gif

I really loved Diablo 2. Long time ago, I would play everyday. I was dedicated to it. Now, I want to make a map dedicated to this game. I know there have been many Diablo 2 maps in Battle Net, but I want to make mine different. Instead of having each map each act, I want to add all the acts with quest in one. Not only that, I want to add the normal, nightmare, and hell. You gain experience as you kill monsters, buy mercenarys also. You also get special functions, such as the Horadric Cube to transmute items. Waypoints are also available. Moreover, I want to add the Diablo 2's Secret Cow Level, where players kill cows to quickly gain experience.

But people who play d2, you know the rule: you kill the king cow, you can not gain access to the cow level in the difficulty(if u kill king cow in normal difficulty, you will never be able to make cow level in normal) tongue.gif

The way I would set the difficulty for each monster would look like this

For Instance, the monster "Fallen" in Act I

Fallen (Normal): 35 / 150 HP
Fallen (Nightmare): 75 / 150 HP
Fallen (Hell): 150 / 150 HP

Something like that. For the difficulty they beat, the health of the monster increases

Sounds very nice ruff =) Also you have remember if " Fallen " is " Zerg " sits around to long will be fully healed once again Oo so wont be 35/150 on normal be alot higher so thats something you also need work out, im asuming you will be setting nerco summoning Skeletons on a hp % as well due fact werent to strong at lvl 1. Are you adding weapons / items / armors? all you really need do is always move unit next too the hero, but meh. Good luck =)

Ya mogle you presented a good point about the zerg...
I dont really know a way around that thing other that have it
so when you enter an area the zerglings or w/e spawn but that would take alot of locations...

The map sounds interesting so far and i hope you make it a great map...

How many players?
Tileset For It?
Music From D2?

Sounds good, RuFFy. Is this just all plans now or do you have some terrain finished?

Also, I don't think you should worry about letting people pick up weapons because it will be a waste of units. Just have them play as levelling-up Adventurers.

There might not be enough units. You'd probably have to recycle some monsters by making them start with a fraction of their HP and making them stronger later... It kind of ruins the RPG experience, but there are only so many units in StarCraft...

I think that Diablo 2 maps on Starcraft are great but could be done better than they have been in the past. Good luck with it RuFF, I hope it turns out well.

well im not going to like add every monster. i'm going to add the most common ones and for NPC's the most important ones (healers, buy mercenaries, deckard cain, etc)

im making terrain soon so ill post ss's asap
