Tux here. I'm not really a big terrain person traditionally, but one thing I've always been bothered with when doing extended terrain is the lack of any formal source of pre-made brushes to do the job quickly. Thus, I made my own set. I'm hoping to continue this trend with other tilesets, but whether people make use of these or not will determine that. It would be nice to have a library of brushes to use for making all kinds of neat terrains, instead of suffering tile by tile to make even the simplest extended terrain pieces.

How to use: You will have to know how to use Starforge brushes and be at least novice level at making extended terrain (that is, you know what it is and can think outside Staredit's isometric system with it). You can find a tutorial for using brushes here (remember to right-click squares in the brush dialog to make them transparent).

Here's some samples (more in the thread):

Yeah, it's good. In fact, it's excellent, like all your other work ...
But how is this 'News?'
Even if it is to show current map making events...this doesn't seem TOO major.

Perhaps not, but I want to get this around to see whether people find something like this useful or not. I have a feeling that, whether these look good or not, you guys are gonna be closed minded as ever, and this'll just go to waste. But meh, can't say I didn't try.

At least now I'll have them to use for my own purposes, as I originally intended. smile.gif

I'll tell you how its news. We're a map making site and this is a topic of interest. When you look at the front page, you are supposed to be a map maker, interested in what we are doing here at SEN.

The news is for anything that conserns map makers or items of interest for them. That has never changed.
