I just finished submitting an arena map to the dldb, it uses mainly extended terrain. (it should be out shortly) Everybody keeps asking whether anyone will use this stuff in a map, so I'm just wondering, has anyone else has actually made a map with extended terrain in it? confused.gif

I'm working on a part of a certain RPG (not A&O but... well, you'll see wink.gif) that has a full blown freeway complete with underpasses, bridges, seperating merging lanes, and horizontal/vertical sections. Looks a little choppy, but its all there functionally (you'll like how I accomplished the underpass effect).

That's just one effect I have planned.

Did you use a mod for underpass?

No it's a normal bnet map. But it's kinda a weird trick. If it gets strained with use it might fail, so I'll probably get rid of it and just use 'move unit' on either side of the under part.

Oh well then what are you doing now? The only thing I could think of would be a sprite that units are under if coming from one direction and over if coming from another, allowing a walking unit to be visible and others to look as if they are traveling underneath. This is merely hypothetical, I doubt the physics of sprites allow such a thing.
