Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> Terrain -> Temple Interior

I'd like to note that this is the "inside" version, the screen focuses around it when you enter the outside version. Not done, no sprites, and no really decoration has taken place. I added in a few rooms without really doing any doors. New version uses bridge for the floor and temple surrounds. The map doesn't have the old version, as it would require alot sprites. I've left the screenshots for comparsion.

It's a fairly good idea so far, but as you can tell it's very blocky and will need a lot more time in development. I think you should have waited to show this until most of it was completed, but either way I can see it's coming together pretty well and will be a lot better when you're finished.

I was going to do something like that for a map but I decided it would be too block. If you can somehow find a way of improving it, that would look great.

screenshot, please?

I like it! w00t.gif Seems like you could fix the blockiness on the roof parts pretty easy. The wall parts would be harder to cut down on blockyness.

Wow...You could turn that idea into one sweet temple...Different levels and ramps n stuff. Yea i know you could do it with dirt and stuff, but with the temple it'll look like a fortress/temple sorta thing.

You should make this map a massive view from inside the temple with loads of rooms and ramps...I'm rambling on...You get the picture. Nice one.

After about fifteen minutes of work, I've made a new version. It's still not finished, but I like it thus far. I've updated the map and screenshot to show the changes.

Now that is amazing. Seriously a nice piece of work you could have a winner on your hands. Could you try making a first, second and third floor - just for me wink.gif

Then it'd be a temple worth playing in.

It looks a lot better than before.

Thats pretty awesome. It was alittle blocky at some pionts, but that could be used in an rpg!

GJ!! happy.gif

o_O i need this for my RPG as well except that im goin to use thin temple wall. That looks very good even with it looks blocky. closedeyes.gif

Combine this with the idea of the thin temple walls and you have temple that can blend with ruins. w00t.gif It needs a little work around the edges, I think I might experiment a little.

I think you're wrong when saying "nothing extraordinay," in the topic's subheading. This is a great idea, which I've never seen before.

Usually, to depict temple type structures in maps, people have to place a building type of unit and then create a warp once you touch the location placed over the structure.

This terrain enables a no-warp temple and an easier and more attractive looking way to depict a temple within a map.

Good work Theoretical Human.

Only two blockage tiles.
VERY nice...good job. smile.gif

This is ownage. The sheer greatness of the terrain makes the blockiness really not matter. I've never seen this before and the bridge terrain inside the temple is a great idea.

...Wow. I wonder how long it'll take before I have terrain in the Hall Of Fame.

Lol is that your only reason for making terrain smile.gif jk

If it is I don't care, just keep making good terrain wink.gif

The Hall of Fame coordinator's opinions aren't necessarily what's important. There are many pieces of terrain that have been added that I don't believe should be there.

In any case, keep up the good work.

I already forgot how it looked when I made the first reply... but I can imagine that this is a lot better. This is pretty impressive; what I like best is just how extremely useful this can be.
