Hey, lets stop the flaming and yelling. Communism=bad in my opinion, but that doesn't mean America should take over North Korea. I mean we would crush the organized north korean army, but then the ing terrorism crap would start up and thats where America's Army isn't the greatest in the world. We train so hard to fight other armys, not terrorists hiding in big citys.

Even if America did invade and take over North Korea, I doubt they would send a nuke at us. EVERY ONE, I MEAN EVERY COUNTRY would be against North Korea. Well, at least all the powerful ones --- such as UN nations. This is my example -- Each nation is a student that goes to Mercer Island High school (Earth) Sometimes kids get into fights with their fists(armies). So you throw a few punches and a couple of the weaker kids get beat up. But then suddenly a kid brings a gun to school (nuke) and shoots a stronger student.

Now do you really think every one will like that kid for bringing the gun to school and shooting some one? This is a simple example I am using. So no matter who fires a nuke at another country, almost every country will hate the one who fired the nuke.

So in my final thoughts, North Korea has only done one thing to piss off the United States and that is building a nuke. Besides that, there isn't MUCH stuff that North Korea has done so I say no war.

as of 2001 there were 28,000 nuclear weapons in the world.... all but 120 of those are owned by either the Usa or Russia....

Let me clear up the confusion, those who know little or nothing about Korea at all. First of all, I am South Korean and I take a bit of offense to how most of you don't realize that Korea is split. South Koreans are not communist, North Koreans are. Secondly, North Korea hasn't done anything.

Now, for real, North Korea is just trying to get money. It is doubtful if they will actually launch a nuke! They just want money from the U.N. and building a nuke is the only way they see to get that money!

I just decided to lay down some facts I have found.
There are 8 countries with nukes in the world. US, Russia, India, Pakistan, Britain, France, North Korea, Israel.
Of these countries, all of them except north korea are members of the U.N. nuclear non-proliferation protection acts. Meaning that they are the only countries that can produce nuclear weapons. Pakistan has been found to have been selling nukes to outside sources, but it is undisclosed who all the buyers are, north korea was at one time considered one of these buyers. At the time Pakistan was selling nukes, they did not have any long range WMD. This suggests that they sold north korea a short ranged nuke, making the threat of attacking america minor. There is also information that pakistan sold nuclear parts to Iran, but I'm not sure about this.

I am South Korean, i voted no but i do believe that sooner or later we should invade North Korea because they are showing us that they are an actual threat with their nuclear weapons and the fact that they are communist. i voted no because if we did then all the countries that are with North Korea, mainly all the other communist countries, would fight with North Korea against the U.S.A. which would probably erupt into a World War III.

First off, we have no right whatsoever to invade North Korea. Secondly, we don't have the manpower, because North Korean Army > terrorist cells. They have more advanced weaponry, are better trained, etc. Sure, we could take them out, but we would lose a lot more soldiers than we lost in Afghanistan and Iraq. Personally, I am vehemently against this barbaric proposal.

If they don't change their act, and if what I'm being told is correct (I try to take our politically biased news with a grain of salt nowdays), then I think we should invade. The only thing is, if we do invade, we do it right. No loose ends. No terrorist nonsense. We can't do much to make people like us, for sure, but we can do more to prevent them from being able to express that dislike violently, AKA terrorism. And if we do a clean and efficient enough job (little calateral damage, implement rebuilding efforts, proper policing, no prolonged conflict, etc.), then people won't have to hate us as much as they do.
