I'm trying out doing movies using SC. I can give map previews like this

So far, this is only a test. But you can see a breif part in the beginning of my new map
Download (If you are having trouble downloading, right click > save as. Its only 2 megs

)
Please comment on it (not the movie here, but the accual concept of movies).
UPDATE:You require
THIS codec to see the video. Its a very fast and nice codec that will be used for this sort of stuff.
UPDATE II:Alright, its a wonderful codec. I'll be using this for previews of Alternate Matrix

This is my bullettime example (kind of how the fights will be with multipule agents).
I threw it in as a quick test, I'm very happy with the speed and size of the file.
DOWNLOAD IT W00TAGEStill can't see any images, did the same with your webcam thingy... Only sound.
I does not work for me either. What did you encode it in Yoshi? Because if it is a codec that we do not have, then we can not see it. It looks as if it is encoded in DiVX, since that's what happens if it is encoded in DiVX and you don't have the codec. But I do have DiVX, so it should work. Anyways, what program did you capture the video with? HyperCam?
Damn, its encoded wrong? Letme try again.
Edit: Got the codec, I'm trying a different video type

It works now...
Yoshi, isn't that just the test map that you released a couple months ago? I still have it, though heavily modified with some...weird stuff.
Plus, I was expecting the intro the the actual map, not just the test map. Oh well, I guess you can't ask for everything.
Notice how I said I was just testing the video technology. I'm planning on releasing some video tutorials too

I'm not even going to mess with it. Realplayer already doesn't work right on my comp. And since you said its only a experiment, why waste it?
RealPlayer doesn't work on mine, either ]:<
Could you put it in some other format, such as quicktime? I don't know enough to know if it's possible/practable though.
Whatever screw it. I've decided that I like my sig. It used to all b+w.

Its not screwing anything up. Its just a codec, which enables your realplayer or media player to view it. Thats it.
I know I just don't feel like messing with it.
You dont have to mess with anything. It just installs itself, and thats the end of it. No settings, no waiting, no whatever.
I only have one response to that: Meh.
Cool Yoshi.. ill have to download it once i get home from work. I cant wait to check it out

hope it is as good as we all make it out to be

This is basically how im going to do map previews for now on (instead of releasing bugged alphas).
I'm now making something that this community will love - Staredit Video Demenstrations. Where I teach you how to do something step by step using whats on the screen and a voice input.
I already made one, and I'm seeing the best codec to use (this one is nice, but im trying realplayer, media player, quicktime etc)
...It's great! Nice job Yoshi!
You actually left-click the attack button and a location to attack to? Learn some keyboard, noob.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Try hitting A. It gives it "Attack" command. That's why the "A" in "Attack" is white, instead of yellow.
But other than that, it's cool. How'd you get the slow down effect? Can you create spells with Starforge or something?
Tell me tell me!
And... the only thing I don't like is that it only effected some of your surroundings.
That's all explained in another forum, sub-forum and topic... Don't you read about it?
