Staredit Network -> StarForge -> The formulas for the wireframe...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SA_Max71 on 2005-03-27 at 03:49:59
Now, then, assuming this link: http://www.staredit.net/?act=Attach&type=post&id=462 had all of the formulas to get the wireframe to be different, it would seem that this attachment has disappeared. Does anyone have it or know where it is? (No, the link isn't working. If it was, I wouldn't of made this topic.)

As far as I knew there was no formula list, there was just a tutorial on how to do it. Moved this to Starforge, you should know better than to post elsewhere.

Technically this isn't a starforge-related issue, but Starforge is the only editor capable of producing this effect, so...

I'm not aware that anyone has made a comprehensive list like that. Wireframes are only predictable in zerg unit anyway.

I put it in the MMA forum for a reason. Technically, this doesn't belong in the starforge forum because I can do some of the same things using SCM draft (but it's much harder to do).

I am pretty sure I saw one when I first joined SEN (which was about 6 months ago).

Well, there is no way to make a list for what each number does. Because it is always different for terran units, and most of toss units. Zerg units the formula you speak of is simple but is dependent on tile set. Here it is! box1:2, box2:1
How hard was that? Omgz Im L337 mister!

Thank you beer. I thought there was a topic or two on this, but I couldn't find it. Will I get into trouble if I close this topic now?

No, but I suggest that you leave it open since other users may provide even more information.

You don't get in trouble for closing/opening a thread, it's when you do it with a stupid reason.

I have done testing with this before...
I got with 1/1 (or 1/2, i cannot remember) the terran/protoss units sometimes get brown and orange in there wireframes... 1/4 is blue (with these be aware that these may be wrong)

Now with zerg/archons I can remember more (less random so used more)
1/1 you see more of the wireframe, 1/2 less, 1/3 less, and so on... It ends at 1/5 or 1/7. (That I can't remember because the more in the wireframe the cooler I think it looks.) The past the last number its a normal wireframe. The last number you can't see much, just like 2 things (black wireframe, blends with black background = blank. when loaded its a black wireframe. cool with things that are to be loaded).

Now for some of you idiots, the boxes are like
HP [ ][ ]

The first box, 0 = 0, anything 1=1, 2=1, 3=1, 4=1, 5=1, etc. (Any number higher than 0 is interpreted as ONE. just to clear that up)

And in that it said some numbers crash, I havn't seen any that do. but it probably would if you put like 255/65546 or something rediculously high.

Some things in this may change after certain numbers, but none that I have seen/tested.

Have a nice day.
