I came across this particular thought a couple weeks back during a physical science class, while my friend Becky was trying to tell me why I need serious psycohological help for not believing in God.


According to most Christians, as I have gathered: God makes you exactly the way you are, and everything that happens to you during your living life is part of God's plan for you.

My question is: Why is homosexality a sin, then? People are born homosexual/bisexual, they dont develop into them. I know this not from first-hand experience, but from a few bisexual friends of mine, and one homosexual I've discussed this with.

If it is a sin to be homosexual, and gets you a one-way ticket to burn in hell, why would God make you that way? I don't understand.

The "Christian" view that homosexuality is a sin comes from literal reading of the Bible, and people reading their own opinions into metaphors and old English. Read this, it explains it a good deal.

In a quick short explanation, some peeps might find my posts on anything religious offensive, espescially if your christian, so if you are do not continue to read my reply to this post.

#1. The bible is a great book of Fiction to mold ones life around upon a moral basis, to have your kids read and understand this to learn lessons and morals to guide them through life is a great thing. However this book should not be used to form a Religion, and a basis of beliefs off of.

#2. After my mothers passing 4 years ago my father revealed to me that he was bi-sexual and had experimented in his youth, but met my mother and never went completely on that path. He is a person of a Christian based faith, and to tell him he is going to hell for his current transgressions, is to say God wouldnt forgive his own son for spilling soda on the carpet. My father leads a good life, and there is no basis of any rational reasoning that Homosexuality should be a sin. As a last note to say he has commited this sin, God gave him this sin, by taking my mother from him so early, and knowing he could never be with another woman.

#3. The Devil itself does not exist, all that the Devil as we know it has drawn its basis of existance from is a bunch of twisted lies. The devil is a twisted deformaty of "The Horned One", which was the god of the harvest in wiccan/paigan like religions. So if the devil doesnt exist, and just a lie, niether does hell exist on that basis.

#4. The Christian religion was born and forced upon the world in murder, through persacution poeple were converted into followers of the one "True Faith". Why if you were going to form belief into a religious following in your path of life, in all rationality choose one which was contract drawn in blood of many inocent lives all for "A CLEARER WAY OF THINKING".

#5. The persacution of pressuring the Christian faith upon the poeple of this world still goes on today. Some in minor ways like that of how this post got started, because our friend here "needs counseling for his lack of faith in god", and in worse way some still in the worst transgressions used in the past.

#6. Jesus Was not a JEW, he was not a Christian(how could he be if the religion only started existance after his death). Jesus was practitioner of witchcraft, but they could not hide his doings, so they made him a prophet, a martyr, to their cause. Not as easily covered up as things like the Salem Witch Trials passed off as just superstition, and things of the sort that happened around his time.

#7. The reason behind the persacution, and the start of a new better religion, or any religion, is that because of FEAR. Mans fear of death, of not knowing, of feeling a lack of purpose in the real scheme and destiny of life and of this world or any world amongst the universe. This is because if more poeple believe it, it must be true, I must be right, and I do matter, I have given the world purpose.

These are real basis of what is true, I'm not looking to insighting an argument. This is how things are seen by me, and these are my opinions. I have used some fatcs, and some things that we can only guess must be true, like the bible that most guess must be an allocation of stories, a series of events that actually happened, and we believe this because so many poeple do, so it must be real, we cant really be that naive can we, so we all just follow what is laid in our lap as true, but we are just living in a world filled with more mythology than the days of past.

I was asking for a christians point of view on this, lol.

I dont think homosexuality is a sin. It never said anywhere in the Bible that it was a sin.

Being gay isn't really a choice. They're people with a genetic disorder, causing them to lust/like people of the same gender. It's a personality. Some people are born like this, some are not.

That what I said. You are BORN gay, you dont develop into one.

And according to any Christian I've encounterd, SOMEWHERE it's listed as a sin.

Yea moon my teacher says its a sin,because shes a really big christian so i think your right and i aggree that people dont develop into being gay its just the way there born.

Uh... there's absolutely NO scientific proof to homosexuality being in ANYWAY related to genetics. Unless you sight a source, you're simply giving a week agrument. I, being bisexual myself, am actually offended by the notion that my genes are somehow "corrupted". The fact is that we're all on a spectrum of sexuality, and MOST people are in the middle. Very few people are truly exclusively homosexual or heterosexual. Oh, the Slame Witch Trials were complete bull****, it was entirely politically-based, the convulsions the girls had were from LSD in rotten crops, it was used as an excuse to get rid of the people who weren't widely liked. Jesus Christ WAS a Jew, because his parents were, you should read up on the Jewish religion. Witchcraft didn't even exist yet, it evolved out of practices from Celtic religions when the English invaded Ireland and converted everyone. It's only ceremonies and a woman controlled belief system, it's not all that interesting at all. The difference between Wicca and witchcraft is that Wicca was invented in the 1950's and most people who "practice" it are just making it up as they go along.

Actually there is scientific proof that it lies in the physiality of the person, not genes but the equilibriam of your body. There was tests dont on the sexual preferences of men and women and what causes them to be homo or hetero. It was found by certain clicks in the ear, and the natural balance(your equilibriam) are in direct coinside with your sexual preference, IN MOST CASES, this was a study done on around a closed grouping of around 6-8,000 people.

I cant site a place to show this as fact, I found out in a newspaper(telegram & Gazzete i believe) about this test/survey that was done around 5 years ago, which is why my specifics are variable, because I'm doing best to remember it.

You'd think a study that conclusive would be easier to find information about. It would be all over the gay apologists' web sites and stuff. But I've never come across it.

Ok well I am extremely religious(as most of you now know ) and I have my answer. Err, well let me start by saying you are NOT born "gay". Or homosexual whatever you want to call it. It is largely based on your environment and the things you do. For example, TheoreticalHuman says (he?) is bisexual and was NOT born with it. Now someone give me an example of a male toddler wanting to kiss little Timmy down the street. Hmm, not happening. You grow into likeing boys if you are a boy based on things that happen in your life. Most(and I emphasize most) cases of homosexuality are caused by abusive families, children who are molested or raped, or other severe traumas as a child(again, TheoreticalHUman, MOST. I am in no way saying this happened to you, so don't be offended). Ok. Now on to my evidence. In Genesis 2:24 it states "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh." That is the first verse that tells us we are to marry women and not men(if you are a man of course). Earlier in Genesis it tells the reason God makes women. Gensis 2:18 "And the Lord God said 'It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparible to him.'" So it says he made women to "help" man. You see man was made to be tha big macho dude who grows crops, goes hunting, and all those other things we see as a "man's duty". Women was made for helping man with his labors. Nowadays we see women as the person to clean the house, make dinner, and all those other things(no offense to women who are all "civil Rights" people but it is how God made it). So that is where Christians get that it is a sin if you go against what God tells us in the Bible. Hope you better understand now.

And even in behavior animal, it there no behavior homosexual, if thus nature is the creation of God, and made so that the animals is not homosexual, then we to them men let us make us to it contrary!

Anyways, I'm really (okay... ing) annoyed with this "I'm made this way" bullshit. I'm gay because I was born that way. I'm an alcoholic because it's in my genes. I can't do anything about it so just accept it. These idiots need to stop being stupid. You're a lesbian because you want to be. Ever notice how most lesbians are ugly ass fat chicks? I wonder why. It's not because they were born that way, it's because they are too ugly or they're personality is all out of whack and they can't attract a guy. I'd have to say... 70% of the case. Born bisexual? No, just like to have (wicked?) fun.
And most of it all is society.
We need to support cloning or something. Take a "born gay" person and raise them up in a different environment and see if the clones are still gay. Theory disproven.

Now why is being gay wrong? Because it's not natural. Our assholes weren't made to take... things up them. Kidding, that's not the best reason, but here's the most solid reason you'll ever find:
Sex is a sin outside of marriage. Marriage, defined, is 1 man + 1 woman. gg pwned no re. This site (http://www.rotten.com/library/sex/sodomy/bible/) sure takes a lot of time attacking passages that can be taken the wrong way. Might they be right with they're thoughts of what those passages mean? Sure. It doesn't make a difference though, it ignores the most obvious so that YOU think they have some solid grounds to say the bible says nothing about being gay. Sure, if they are 100% right, then yes, the bible doesn't explicitly say "Homosexuality is wrong", but then refere to the bolded text above.

However, anyone who is having sex outside of marriage can't really look down on homosexuals from a bibical standpoint, because they are basically committing the same sin. If I were to say something like "you're gay? you need to change", that would make me a hyprocrite. There is no little and big sins, and catholic's idea of mortal sins is wrong. So be careful before you start judge someone else, or treat homosexuals worse then your non-virgin friends.

Wow, Christianity is losing the fight pretty badly, since, oh, I don't know, most of the people in the world have sex before marriage. You'd think God would have made His One True Religion attractive enough so that it could compete with all the blasphemy out there.

Humans just need someone to hate, someone to praise, and the ability to feel superior to everyone around them. "I'm right, thisis the wrong thing, you're doing the wrong thing,you're evil!" Makes me glad that if all threats to humans were eliminated, we'd only live to 120.

What happens if someone lives to be 121? Does it disprove the existence of the Christian God? No, but it would probably diminish the credibility of the Bible? Who knows? It'd be funny to see. I might just try to do it, just for kicks.

Uh... it's more so a scientific fact that your body will only last about 120 years if you're perfectly healthy all your life.. it just starts to break down. I was just saying that because I honestly don't want some people around 200 years or so from now... so that limit is G-O-O-D.
