Its a topic most people think is a little too racy to discuss... but back in the slave days farmers used to "breed" the biggest and strongest slaves together to try to "create" a "superstrong" slaveworker, and i dont know what you think, but i think that is why black people are so good in sports.

well i mean.....look at basketball, basketball is a black mans sport, NOT a blackmans sport but a TALL blackmans sport

sometimes football, i mean most black guys are good at football

hocky, lacross, and soccer are mostly white men sports

i think due to slavery blacks are much more fit for doing stuff like sports and working, while most while guys are as lazzy as heck

Generally, I'd say that Hispanic people are the best at football (soccer).

This is a pretty racist topic but I guess it does have some scientific basis. Blacks generally jump higher and are more suited towards sports like basketball, I mean, I'm the captain of my team.

well, since soon the NBA and NFL will soon be 100% black (they're getting blacker and blacker) and while 80% of the U.S.A's population is white, its something that should be discussed. I mean, whats gonna happen when a little white kid asks his parents "why arent there any of us crackers in professional sports", the parents need an answer

Slaver was probly not the cause because they werent in slavery long enough and it happwnd to long ago.

While I dont agree with the statement that slavery was around long enough, a couple hundred years is enough in my book, i don't think thats the reason. But to take a different approach, look at white people and black people in education. White people have tried incredibly hard during those times to keep books out of black people's hands, unable to read, or write, and it shows in today's society. That also sparks the point that maybe because alot of them lack in the education side of the equation, come of them are pushed into athletics to compete.

Yes, black people are good in sports mainly because they're.... thick, dense, and strong.

If you notice, there are barely any black people in the sport of swimming. I mean, they can't even stay afloat. Since they're so heavy and dense, they're just gonna sink

Soon, the majority of the people in the united states would be mexicans. Most mexican families are pumping out like 3-5 kids per family. Whereas whites and asians are doing 1 or 2, at most 3.

Well, t here's actually quite a handful of white people in the NBA. The tallest basketball player isn't black or white, he's chinese.

Actually the tallest player is Shawn Bradely of the Dallas Mavericks, he's about half an inch taller then Yao Ming. Shawn Bradely is German . BTW this topic is turning from intelligent to racist very fast...

Not really, Michael Vick is the highest paid PLAYER in the NFL and hes a black quarterback
Also, Dante Culpepper was 2nd in the league in yardage and TD passes, and hes a black quarterback

You can't inherit muscles from your dad wesmic, you work hard to get muscles, so either the African-Americans at your school exercise well, or you don't stand losing to them.

'Black people' is currently the most acceptable in the UK, and for some reason, 'African-American' in the US.

The starter of this topic. The reason black people are mostly known in the sports arena is that any intellilectual black is generally overlooked, since most people of the eras gone by have sought to praise exclusively whites. It requires some searching to find them. But that's besides the point, the black families have oftentimes been pushed into the slums, the lower quality houses, and the overall less pleasant parts of cities. In these areas, school systems are generally poor, so little education is managed. Now, this leads the average black person to more athletic based pastimes. Such pastimes generate exercise, and build muscle. By the time they get out of the ghetto, they are likely muscular, and talented at sports. So, what do they do? Eventually get into professional sports. The reason there are more and more black players in sports? Because the amount of racism in professional sports has gone down a good deal. So, instead of a slightly less talented, or quite less talented, white player, they'll opt for the black one. Atleast, it's what I think. I'm not a fan of the term "African-American". Why? because it's longer, harder to say, and overall, inaccurate. How is it inaccurate? Well, ask any darker skinned joe if he or his parents were born in Africa. Most likely not. There needs to be a term closer to Hispanic, that states a race but doesn't give a place of origin.
