when ever i open up starforge and try to make a new map a small pop up occurs and its says
And i have all the files required
Error Run Time '11'
Division By Zero
What tileset, terrain, and clutter settings were you using? Also make sure you have version 2.2 by checking the version info file in the Starforge directory (the number in the about window is wrong).
this happens to me too, but usually while i am doing unit properties. or once it was when i was doing player settings.
If you're going to report an error like this you need to specify the exact steps that you took to reproduce it. I highly doubt that you encountered a divide by 0 error in unit properties or player settings. An overflow error I might expect but not divide by 0.
i was using badlands, and had 0 clutter but when i click create new map the pop-up comes and my starforge is 2.2
You didn't specify what terrain type you were using.
then again i dont really remember what i was doing when it happened to me, i just know it has happened quite a few times to me.
omg i HATE this error SOOOOOO much. I get the darn thing EVERYTIME i open SF. It use to just happen every once in a while, and it didnt bother me as long as i saved often. Now it pops up ALL THE TIME. It started doing this when my friend opened Dont look at the Dot, and its been doing it ever since. Normally i wouldnt post on here about it but its getting rediculous. I tried everything i could think of. I reinstalled it like 20 times, I re downloaded it 15 of those times, my friends have sent me thier copies of it, i even downloaded the extra files provided by Staredit.net. Nothing seems to work. Plz Plz Plz help me in any way possible. I love SF and i dont want to imagine making maps without it again.
Oh, now that you talk about it. It happened to me too before I formatted. I'm not saying that the solution is formatting though.
Heimdal, something dies, maybe in the registry, and after that you cant create new maps anymore regardless of what you do in the new map window.
This error occured reliably with certain terrain types in an older version, and has since been fixed. I thought it might have been a recurrence of this error in another form. It is a very strange error, because it is a VB runtime error, but the line in VB has no division in it.
In any case...if the error only occurs when making maps, you could always just create a new map in SE, save it, then open it with SF.
And Drao...are you talking about the runtime error 11 or something else?
Yes, it's runtime error "11" division by 0. I just found out that the error only occurs if i run my cursor over the terrain.
somebody please help drao....he needs his SF back
i guess im not good enough to get
with my problems
Another one:
Badlands Completely Dirt 128x128
Made with SF players all "Inactive"
Polar Array on 1 Zergling Placed at 62x62
Polar Array X = 62 Y = 62
OK is pressed.
Crash!
Just caught one, i had a runtime error 11 divison by zero when i tried to place a 1x1 isom of mud in badlands.
On my other computer (Died
) I would get this, and alot of other errors just by opening SF and stuff.
All I did to fix was reinstall it. Then it would work.
