I'm glad to announce that I have a working (kinda) version of my secret project. It's currently in its alpha testing stage. For who didn't read the topic title, its an automodder. Now you will ask: "wtf is an automodder?", well the idea is quite old, and its not mine, I have to thank MM-Heimdal and Tuxedo-Templar, they had the idea some years ago.
The idea was of making a program that runs on the background, and when it finds a map wich has a mod inside it 'automods' Starcraft while you are in the pre-game chat screen, just after dling. That way you could play mods over bnet if all the users have the program running on the background.
Think of the possibilities: if all the SEN comunity has the program running you'll be able to make a mod and play the mod with anyone of them, without sending the mod at all, you just create the map, the other players join, dl the map, the automod mods SC and when you start the game you can have flying marines, cloaked zealots or zerglings with shield, cool huh?
I started the project last winter, and right now it works quite well (with some bugs, yeah, but it works ;P ). I know I said that I would announce this at the start of the summer, but I could get it to work earlier, you never know when you'll finish this kind of things.

A picture of the program. As you see you can create projects, with extension .amp (AutoModder Project), wich have a map and a mod mpq. To create the map use any of the map making utilities out there and to create the mod mpq use the available modding software to change the data files (like units.dat) and place all the modified data files in an mpq using its original paths (like arr\units.dat).
Then you can create a 'modded map', wich will have the mod inside.
If you are not going to create any mod, just to play over bnet with modded maps just click on the big button, it'll automod SC with any modded map that you play.

Starcraft is Spanish is way better than English.
ROLF Muertes, how can a unit die more than once! ROLF.
It should be Matados or soemthing like that.

Anyways, pretty nice project I should say, I like the fact that anyone can use a mods over B.net just like they were regular maps, this just might make SEN a UMS/Melee Mapamking Community with Mod support.

Imma go make a news post about this at my site when I have the time like during the afternoon.(Don't worry, I'll link the Screenhsots here and I won't copy/paste).

Mods arnet .exe files necesarrily, yes, you can have mods as self executabled, or you can replace the MPQ file that stores the data of the game, nice try though.

Have you ever made a mod? they modify the MPQ not the EXE so its possible so make sure u check the facts before u call ppl hoaxers i believe it but if you dont, dont use it when it comes out one person wont make a difference =) (im so evil)

My brother has been playing with arsenal III and for some reasons all the maps effected by it turn into a forign language. With the terran VCE and everything.
Anyone know why it does that?
Also I have a strange feeling the auto mod program only works with arsenal III mods and not with more advanced stardraft/stargraft stuff.
Is it compatable with SCAI edit? Becuase that would open up a lot of new possiblities (four of your friends agaist a really smart computer.

Yea they both are admins, but Yoshi was the original creator of the site while IP is who kept it running after it got haxed and yoshi left.

Duh... the first step of making a mod is making the *.mpq, only than you make the *.exe

but still, the thing you run the game thru is the exe, and if you'll replace its mpq in the middle you're still have to reboot SC.

And you don't have to be a real smartass to know they're hoaxing, even tho they did it really well...

He has power over the domain (although he offered me the password a long time ago...)
