I like badlands. There I said it. It's the most versatile terrain IMO (plus I already spent a jillion hours making that damn brush set with it).

You know what i change my mind i like jungle better. It is most common terrain and most used. Also it fits well in RPG's

I perfer jungle for its capabilities, but Arctic has the best looking stuff in my opinion.

Badland is good because it has structure, dirt, water and cliff levels for both dirt and structure.
Ice because it has structure, grass, snow, water, and unfortunatly only cliff levels for snow.
Jungle has the 13 count of terrain types but it's all just grass and temples so I don't like it, it is, on the other hand, good for dark-age-based advanture games like others said.

Installation - 7
Ash World - 8
Badlands - 9
Space Platform - 10
Desert - 13
Ice - 13
Jungle World - 13
Twilight - 13

I think iceworld has good transition between different types of terrain.
I picked jungle though, for it's huge amount of different features.
