You do realize ANY religious guy is forbidden to have sex, right?

And I doupt a Pope or a Cardinal would have the "time" to have children before being 18 years old.

The Vatican and the highest Cardinals will vote out the next pope.

It's a good thing he died. He should have retired way before (which he couldn't), even though he did like what he was doing, there are limits to aged people to work and have such an active life at this age.

He was a leader for the world, not to mention 1.2 billion Roman Catholics. Besides that, he was a good man.

Why do we have 2 topics about this anyway... Can anyone merge them?? :/

EDIT -- Oh please, Cloak... He was suffering all day long, he could barely walk anymore, he could barely talk. He even was the one that said he didn't want anymore medical care, to finally die and reach paradise alongside whoever he ever loved...

I am very sad the Pope died. He was a really good person and I felt he was sort of a grandfather to me type figure even though I never met him. Correction he lived to age 84, but that doesn't matter.

Why is the death of an old man a tragedy? Let go. We don't live forever. The man was eighty four, alot of people didn't even live that long. The man would've just gotten worse. Our bodies aren't designed last beyond the 50's, hence the break down of bones, curvage of the spine, saggy, unelastic skin, etc. Frankly, you should be celebrate such a high life expectancy.

His death was a sad moment in history. It made my teacher cry after she heard some quotes from him and was touched by his last word "Amen". But on the positive, his suffering that he went through has ended and he even knew of his death. He was given a choice to go to a hospital, but put it down to stay with his loved ones and he asked to be read about Jesus being laid in the tomb so he can reflect on it

It's not a good thing he died. It's never a good thing when someone dies. But, we should be happy of what he accomplished as being a pope. He is already being called John Paul the great.

FACT : He could speak 8 languages fluently and like 26 (16+cuz im not sure)partially.

ok...

Anyways, he was one of the best popes. He did so many things that some might not believe. You know the guy that tried to shoot pope back then? Well he has a heart to forgive the man that tried to kill him. Also usually when you do bad to someone you have a guilty feeling and you don't want to see the person again. Well the guy that shot him wants to visit his funeral. Pope John Paul II was a very good pope.

Faith kept him going. He was considering 'retiring' (I don't know if that's the proper word for it) like four years ago, when he first developed Parkinsen's Disease. God wanted him to stay with it, so he did.

He was a good man. I never really knew much about him until he died...he's in a better place now, eh?
