Maybe we should just have one news post. Then you bump it and change the title to include all the new features.
Becuase we already have like three, don't we?

Not that people don't care, but, it's not like we need a new topic every new version.

If you get SCMDraft 2 v1.0, would you change the banner? tongue.gif

Whatever...

I see SI reading this...
So just know that I have nothing against your editor. smile.gif

Yoshi: I've heard that about three times too. wink.gif
Not covering StarForge? Editorist.
(Just kidding. smile.gif)

Theres nothing happening with Starforge to cover. If that ever changed, I would cover it too.

Very nice SI, I'm glad to see you're still updating it for the suggestions happy.gif

I'm up for some SEN news as well. Tell us about how v5 is making progress smile.gif

Tehee hee we got #11!
Actually I'm likeing the way SCMDraft is coming out with frequent updates, makes you think that SI and DW care more about it than other people. Sush frequent updates are good.

Also I have a question.
SI: Do the Pre-Releases that Public Beta gets are the old ones that we used to have in Private Beta?

We did one news post for that, plus we got a suggestions topic. We have a long way to go, but its going quite smoothly and there are little bumps in the road. The more we continue with this, the more we realize how crappy invision and the mods were in the first place.

there isn't much of a reason not to release these prereleases often, as its member only download most people may think about reporting bugs, most experimental features can be disabled via compiler switches so once a crash bug is found I can disable all half done things and update the release with a fix, etc smile.gif

basicly. Most of the time private beta site gets the new stuff 3 - 7 days earlier, there are rare times when both are updated at the same time. (Same way you had MDI version 3 weeks before the public, and I had it 4 weeks before you did smile.gif )
Also the private beta site will start seeing some 0.6.0 features in the next weeks.

Rexyrex: what do you want yoshi to post? "New version of scmdraft 2 out with the 1 known bug fixed, still no word on whether a SF update is even being made."

Hmm... v0.6.0 in a few weeks, nice.
As I'm seeing SCMDraft 2 v1.0.0 is going to be BIG. I mean look at all the changes that have passed from 0.5.5 from 0.4.5, there were quite a big amount of changes from both versions.

Anything big like Zoom and Fog of War coming up?(Don't tell me what, just a simple yes or no)

actually, I dont know when I will jump to 1.0. Whenever all the features I can think of are working well smile.gif I currently only have very basic plans for 0.6.0, but as I think of things and read suggestions it always gets longer.

I don't get how you come up with all these version numbers, how do you do like 0.0.0 and choose which numbers?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SI on 2005-04-06 at 20:31:18
well I start at 0.0.1, then for larger changes bump it up by 0.5.0 or 1.0.0 and for minor updates bump at the last part... its mainly just whatever I want to use smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by .Coko[CK] on 2005-04-07 at 04:51:55
Its just a common way of doing things for a program, Major.Minor.Micro, is the general way, because a Major would be something that would make the main components of the code change, or the layout and how it functions.

We should all torture Heimdal to upodate SF.

But, I don't want to pressure him into doing anything he doesn't have time for.

I have tested the account creation code with several email accounts, they all work, although hotmail among others filters the activation codes to spam mail folder.
