Well, I'am making a map (again), And I decided to make a maze like map, So I thought and I thought, So I decided to make a game called Maze Rat.

You are a zergling, And you have to get to the middle and eat the cheese, If you don't eat the cheese before another one does... Then the other one that took the last bite, Wins.

There will be signs on the sides of the walls... Those signs will point you in the right direction, Or will they?

I may make the cheese spawn in different spots to make it harder.

This will be a 6 player map, On tileset "Dessert".

If you have any suggestions for this map, Please post your idea's here wink.gif

Cool idea, when you are done, let me be one of the testers! What if you could try do something like a comp that is against all humans, and when they kill you, you have to restart from the Start point

Instead of just signs pointing the directions, why not have riddles for people to solve(Correct answer=the right path). Of course, don't use those easy-to-solve riddles.

Also you can,
Have some power-ups. For example have a zergling(No ups) as your normal unit. When you get a "Speed Power-Up", you change into a upgraded speed zergling.

Also, if you're gonna add in comps tat kill u(Like wat Chronophobia said), you could add a "Invincibility Power-Up"(Makes your unit invincible). Or maybe a "Thorns Shield Power-up"(Kills all computers around you and sends other player's rats around you back to starting point.)

And maybe, mouse trap/rat poison. If a rat goes near that, they get transported back to start.

Just some suggestions.

i like those ideas...

How will you use the signs and stuff? Because it is a randomized location for the cheeze the signs would all have to be triggers for the cheeze to be in different areas which would be impossiable... And if the signs stay the same is there any point in following them? Also mabe you could but randomized blockades in there to change the maze everyonce in a while (machineShop)

ah got a new idea

Darkness

Minor Darkness: (Note that if this idea is used, you have to off the vision for the players. You could use a spider mine as the unit sight range though. If you have another better method instead of turning off vision for players or whatever, use it.) The spider mine will be replaced with a burrowed zergling(burrowed zerglings have a smaller sight range than spider mines)

Major Darkness: You will totally lose sight of your rat, therefore you need to group your rat. If the player do not get out of the place, he will be transported to start in ummmm 60 seconds? Depending on the size of the place with darkness...

Well thats it I guess...

Addition:

Rotten Cheese: If they attack that, they'll die(due to poisoning? Whatever...) and be transported back to start.

Ah, noticed that theres lots of "transported back to start" yet?

Odd, Once the cheese is set, I will use a trigger to do the signs...

Like

Player 8 brings atleast 1 'cheese' to 'randomcheese2'...

create 1 sign at 'signb1'.. You get the idea =/

Hey Puni, if you need a tester, I can help you test. And, I wish you good luck on your map smile.gif

I still think that will be a HUGE ammount of triggers to get the cheese in the right place with the signs... Because if you have ALOT of signs people can just figure out where it is without any challenge because they have played before...

ake sure you use my idea about randomizing some parts of the maze because if people have played before they will know the maze off by heart

Thats why it is randomized... If they just go to the spot where they always think it is, It will be some where else... And some one else would have found it by then.

And, I may add some mouse traps to it.
