Staredit Network -> Terrain -> Double Ramp

Okay, so this is my first attempt to really blend terrain, not just stick two opposite things side by side to make something. It's not very good, and it's pretty blocky, but I think it's kinda hard to see because its saved as JPG. I have a Non-sprite and a Sprite version.

I will also include the map, for those of you that want to see it.

That was done a few weeks ago. Sorry to say, but I take it you never saw it so gj on originality!
But if you did see it that is a replica of what was done earlier. wink.gif

I know it was done before, I'm just trying to get used to blending terrain, and trying to get some feedback. I'll work on origanality later.

Good job, minimal blockyness. But you might want to try a sprite without a shadow, which has a bad effect on the terrain.

Okay yeah, thanks. It does kind of look odd with the shadows.

I made a ramp that was long, not bent. It was on my mountain. I would put a picture, but as some of you know, my computer broke and I am currently trying to copy it (with safemode that is all glitched and takes 1/2 hour jsut to exit something or something as simple as that)

Wow Ty to SEN. 1/2 hour waiting for other comp is like 2 seconds. tongue.gif

Hardly any blockiness, but I see blocks in a vital spot where blocks will be noticed immediatly—where the ramp changes directions.

that corner is nearly impossible to make better because there is pretty much nothing blendable

Well, that's a perfectly good reason not to use this in a map.

Blending is very important—blockiness turns me off.

but you have to realize that if it were real life then its not going to be perfectly shaped and rounded.

I don't see much blockiness... just at the top where it bends, and where the bottom is blended to the other high dirt, that is all I see blocky...

Yes, but you don't see many random blocks of dirt just sitting around in real life.

Ya i do! blink.gif

I see random dirt! not all blended and smooth, just like your walking on asphault, no line or nuthin between; your on dirt or grass. tongue.gif
