I was exploring Twilight, trying to get a good idea of it's capabilities. I've concluded that although it's one of the most beautiful tilesets, it has limited extended terrain abilities.... in ISOM. After being dissatisfied by my first few pieces, I came across a bench-like piece. I'd always been wanting to make a church in Starcraft, but the interior was seemingly impossible. Now, this is NOT in ISOM, and it's obviously not the outside. Well, enjoy.
Wow... Thats prety nice!
Suggestion:
Add in some lights like candles or something if you can find anything
Add torches to the walls they look kinda bland
Have observers spining on the statue to make it seem mystical
wow!!! Thats awesome. Angel's suggestions say what i say pretty much. GJ.
That's the most incredible square terrain I've seen.
- possibly add an offering table.
It's looks like something out of Zelda for the original Nintendo.
Paella stole the words right from my mouth. Now for some torches and monsters.

God, I wish I could do something that sweet

This reminds me of Chrono Trigger.

inside the church. if anyone has played that you'll know what I'm talking about.

i like it, pretty nice for an rpg. like people have said, put some nice sprites in to spruce it up and add some objects.
(this isnt the first tiwlight thread in here, i made one a while ago)
Yea, twilight is good for this kind of thing. I suggest you look at this map
(http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=1394) to see what other people have done. The interiors are pretty good (though I'd say yours is better), but the exteriors are fantastic.
Real nice man, I like it!
Yeah, I've looked at that map before. It was sorta the idea source... but I must agree... mine is better.

Well, I've done a few changes, nothing major. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. It's really difficult to get a good torch effect in twilight.
wow, thats awesomer! Nice job! looks good to me.
What sprites are those things on the side?
the ones that are tall and have the glowing thing in the middle....
Looks very nice. Just don't think those statues are apropriate for a church

.
Where did I say the Church was Judeo-Christian?
churches can have whatever they want in them... (like monsters

)
For all you know it could be a monster-filled church or whatever he made it for.
OK GOOD IDEA!!!!
At the stature place a medic directly in front of it!
Place a Zergling Burrowed Under The Statue If you can
Then Set the Zlings HP to 1% and preserve trigger
Then you will have a priestest Praying to some god

BTW: I made Lahiro Village and used a twilight pathway which was new and no one had seen if before... There have been lots... I remember a Fountain, A Curved StairCase, My Town, This one
What's the sprite count with the torches? o.O
What torches? Those tall light things make it look worse than the first shot. And yea, it reminds me of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Yeah. Now that I really look at it... the first shot was pretty much perfect. Why torches, anyways? Churches have something called windows.
Did you read my post about the medic?
It would look really cool that way

Yeah its pretty sweet as it is. The sprites on the edges make it look odd.
Angel's idea is cool though, especially for an rpg.
Yea i agree the first screen shot is the best. Could you make a sort of simple mosaic in the floor using different tiles? You'd need to extend the front bit as it would probably not sit well with the benches. I suppose you could try and add an altar of some kind. I like the main statue. Oddangels idea sounds good too, you should try that but dont make the medic blue. Make it for player 7 so its all white
Ack...I think's i gots it!!!
You could use the sprite for the waterfalls to make a candle or a glowing thing. Try placing them around the church, that'd prob look cool. (Pitty you get a square around the drip tho). Try it for me
