im surpised no one has thought of this yet but is it possible to make a little piano with SC? You would include all the notes from one octave and make a little cache for notes?

... hmm.... Well, it would be a pain moving all the units round to pres a note, but u could make a unit over each note, and hed just have to move one step in order to pllay something.... maybe. i dont think the memory would take up much room.

But do u really think anyone who doesnt play the piano could play something half descent on a sc program? meh.

Either it would be the r0x0rs or it would fail miserably.....

PS- I play the piano.

PSSSSSS- I also have an electric piano right next to me, so if u did want to execute this crazy idea, i could provide sounds.

I think it would be better if you inputted all the notes and stuff for, like write the music out, with all the notes and the different waits. Then have it play it, instead of having to actually press the keys in real time.

I was planning on having a music making map, which would act both as a music creation studio and something like donky-conga / DDR. Where players would pre-write music by placing units on a scale, then interceptors would fly over when it was playing. The players would then have to try to match the pre-written music in real time using a dropship. I stopped this project after I realized that many people on B.net have no musical abilities. I don't have it anymore though, it was on an old computer. sad.gif

though the though part is recording it, and you need a variable for each second or something, and then you'll want many layers, like atleast 3, 1 bass guitar, 1 electric guitar, and a drum. or you can have a piano and a violin and flute, w/e. it'd take a lot of work really, and it'd be a pain, cause they cant save it..., unless the modding program is made, and can save it as a .txt file that is can read later... crazy.gif

Recordings would be easy, I used garage band from a mac to make different keys for different instruments, then transformed them into wavs. It was dismally simple, but time consuming.
