Alrighty... I've begun to re-work on my last project Golems Madness Frozen Theory.... yet I don't know what I'm gonna do. In terms of combos and spells and special and all... I do, infact have spawnables finished and mass done. Here's a picture of the Arena.

What I wanna add on to my map is in the following.

BY THE WAY BEFORE ANY ONE EXPLODES ON ME FOR THE LENGTH TOP AND BOTTEM ARE SPREAD APART SO WIDELY... I have it done in that special way because in every other Golems map that's NEAR the same as my arena design, the top and bottem always got in conflicts with eachother when massing... So I decided to let people have time to change course on who they're about to mass before it's too late.

I don't think the bases are spread evenly (The bottom 3 are closer than the top 3) and that might become a balancing issue.

I knew I'd get some questions about the spacing.. They're actually all even, I just checked. Here's proof.

By the way.. If you thinking that the slots on the top right and left and part of the arena, they are, they're just hero opening areas the hide the heros when they're created.

and www.com.au, the spellstyles I'm talking about are like, mass differences from other golems maps. Such as a full arena effect, or fly in wraith spells with attatched explosions, and what not. Those are just off-the-top of my head ideas though. I'll be much more creative than that in the making.

I've decided without any further attention so far that I'm gonna create massive amounts of combos, but I would really like people to give me some combo ideas and how much the combo would use.


SO FAR I have these in mind (I won't tell you the order the combo goes in though. XD)
  • 3civs = Water Golem (Original)
  • 4civs = 2 Storm Golems
  • 3civs = Frozen Golem
  • 5civs = Atom Golem
  • 2civs = Icecube Golem
  • 6civs = Aura Golem
This post will be updated everytime I get a new combo. Stay tuned.




Water Golem - Jim Raynor

Storm Golem - High Templar

Frozen Denizen - Tassadar/Zeratul

Atom Golem - Zergling

Icecube Golem - Fenix (Dragoon)

Anyways,
Its been awhile since, I've played Golems, namely, well look at them.. When they first came out it was pimp, but its charm has worn thin, you might revitalize it. Anyways, I'll help you with testing if your short of testers..

Hehehe... Well, I'm still in the combonation (Combos) area currently.... The part I most hate. Because I can create MASSES of combos that'll never be used, which would be pointless. Haha. Plus the damn fact I have to go through the Kill 25 units get a civillian crap.... *Sighs*...... Wish there were some easier way. and if there is.... SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME!!! By the way, thanks for the offer and I'll keep ya in mind if I do need testers.

I'll be posting new touches and updates in a different post if they're not fitted with units.

Ok.... Been a day since I did any updating, not like I need to, but I do anyway.
Here in addition is what I've added and taken time to balance out and create.
(P.S. I won't add any description of the spells untill I get by popular vote, or say that you people want to know what they do. Don't wanna spoil anything untill I can confirm you want to. tongue.gif)

The "Building Spells" are some what like what Magus used in his MTG maps.
I find these exotic to the madness types maps if you ask me, brings alot of style to gaming.
I though do still need any advice, and help on if anyone knows any easier path ways into the kill count-creating civ area.

YES Magus or who ever created the original MTG will get credit for the spells I'm using off of him, just not the same effects.

I am an xpert on golem balencing. If I could just find those equations again...
Seriously, idiots discount the difference between concussive and exsposive damage, and unit sizes way too often when trying to balence golems.

Ok now... I know you heard some of my earlier updates but I'm gonna repeat some of them because I may of updated them

So far I generalized the spells with ingame-information... So there will not be any problem with knowing what they're used for and how they'red used.

BUGS

-Fixed Player one mass problem

Special Units Ability

Arena Commander - When a player summons an Arena Commander, that player can choose ONE player's spawnable units, or whatever unit is in the vicinity of the spawning area, to become computer controlled and the computer will mass to the person who had used their Arena Commander. (Computer does not attack untill it has stopped at your front door wink.gif )

So far so good, I like the way my map is coming out... I still have yet to check out total balancement of every unit. I'm gonna need a few people to help do that, just not quite yet. I'm still gonna add more building spells... but I would like opinions and ideas before I do so. This new special unit I have added to the game seems like it'll really add a great effect to the chance of winning in this... and NO you will not be able to create it by combo... It's a special unit meaning you have to goto the special area... (yeah I'm smart!!! confused.gif )

I'll give it a month or less before I finish this map... Got quite a while to go because this is an extremly detailed Golems map. (Unlike them others... ) Golems Ultra was a good map though I'll admit.

Ok I've done too much talking... and not enough editing and idea creating. So if you people may, PLEASE give me ideas for building spells, units, and specials... I'd greatly appreciate it.

Back to editing after recovering from getting my ass kicked in a fight 3 days ago. or was it two........ Hm anyway..

Somethings I finished or fixed in what I've added, and some things need an effect... I cannot find what I want Ice Age to do...

Need Implimenting:

Player Controlled Gate God






Ok now.. About this "Gate God" I added.... It's a spell none-the-less, then there's a player controlled Gate God with the same effect, except you control who to use it on.
Now then, Gate God is a spell that, once casted, spawns a Arbiter from the bottem of the map. As soon as it's spawned, it races to the middle of the arena... There then exploding causing a so called "Rift" that turns all of everyone's units in the spawnable area infront of your Bunker, to computer. After they've turned to computer, they imediatly run to the center of the arena where the turret is.
They will NOT attack you untill they have stopped in the middle of the arena.

I advise you only use this spell wiseless unless you want to screw yourself over in the process of using it. Now... Using the player controlled Gate God, you can use a self-controlled arbiter and place it at ONE PLAYERS spawn point, to have the same effect on that player, as the spell Gate God does on everyone.

I'll add onto this post, or make a new one if I have bigger updates...
