As some of you know I play NationStates in which you create your own nation and give form to it by acting on several issues. With all of those issues I have had no problem judging on what to do. Lean towards a super-power economy with lots of civil rights but with a semi-dictatorship/semi-democratic goverment or maybe communisim, which all those 3 factors are what I call the best a country could be.

*My Nation -> The Federation of Drug Dealing Mofos

This is one of the issues I recieved today and it's really hard to judge on what I should do. I choose to dismiss the issue and leave it be as I am playing the game and not you, but I would like to know which one you would've choosen.

QUOTE
The Issue

Last night the respected tabloid TV show "60 Minutes" ran a report on Drug Dealing Mofos's rising divorce rate. What is happening to the nuclear family?
The Debate

  1. "There's a simple solution," says Pastor Felix, of the Catholic Church. "Divorce should be illegal. 'For better or worse,' anyone remember how that goes? We should return to the good old days, when you got married for life and stuck by your partner no matter how much of a drunken, abusive, adulterating disappointment they turned out to be."
      [Accept]

  2. John Black, author of the hit book, 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Some Whole Other Place,' has a simpler solution. "If couples would just call each other 'darling' once in a while, there would be far fewer relationship breakdowns. A little affection is all it takes. So the government should make it mandatory: call your spouse 'darling' at least once a day, or face a fine."
      [Accept]

  3. "There's a simple way to boost the marriage rate," says gay rights activist Naki Johnson. "Abolish those arcane laws that discriminate against same-sex marriages. It's obscene to treat people differently because of their sexual preference. Besides, everyone knows gay relationships are more stable than straight ones."
      [Accept]

The Government Position

The government is preparing to dismiss this issue.

I choose to dismiss it because I won't make divorces illegal becasue everyone should divorce if they wanted to. Calling their spouse "darling" or doing romantic things to them enforced by the law or else you get fined is just plain stupid. And I'm one of those F censored.gif Gay Marriages type of people.

I choose to dismiss becasue basicly if people are divorcing leave them be, it's their choice and the goverment has nothing to do with it.

Shaugie Decides:
Animal Liberation Front Strikes Again
The Issue

The increasingly militant Animal Liberation Front struck again last night, freeing dozens of chickens bound for delicious snack packs.
The Debate

1. "These nuts have got to be stopped," demands concerned consumer Dave Rifkin. "They need to face the fact people want snack packs, no matter how many innocent chickens must be sacrificed. Besides, chickens would do the same to us if they had the chance."

This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.

2. "These Liberationists are highlighting an important issue," pleads Dave King. "Too often, animals are put through needless cruelty, just to make their flesh taste a little more deliciously succulent. I'm sure we could ban the more horrific abuses without putting too much of a dent in our national obesity figures. Couldn't we?"
[Accept]

3. "Animals have feelings too!" yelled protestor Hope Falopian, before being set upon by hungry passers-by. "Free the animals! Ban meat-eating!"
[Accept]

4. Economist Charles Shiomi has an alternative. "You don't need to take away the people's right to choose. You just need to build the costs of animal suffering into the price. A tax on meat-eating, in proportion to the amount of cruelty involved, would do the trick. Plus think of the benefit for the national coffers! Of course, poor people wouldn't be able to afford meat, but that's just more incentive for them to get jobs."
[Accept]

The Government Position

The government has indicated its intention to follow the recommendations of Option 1.

If you wish, you may simply dismiss this issue.

To follow one of the recommendations above, simply click on the link. The Shaugie government will bring in the new law overnight.
