Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> Concepts -> Fire speed alterations?

I'm not sure if someone here has already figured this out, but I just saw something truely amazing on battle.net, it was a team micro arena with DOUBLED attack rate on all of the units, no clue how they did it, as I couldn't open the map with X-tra editor.
It may have something to do with This, which claimed to change unit speed. If anyone wants to play it and see for themselves, I have the map, as well as a saved replay of the game (Just don't mock me for sucking at it)
Forgive me if you already know about this .

Really, it crashes?
Did the replay also crash for you?
Oh well, I was just blown away when I saw it, as it was completely new.
I'll try playing it then getting screenshots, but it may take a bit, as it requires multiplayer and most of the time that I host something it doesnt work...

I only tried the replay. It crashed because sometimes other users crash when others dont. Starcraft crashes alot when its on a Mac, which im on. I'll try the map in a sec.

This has been known for well over a year, possibly 2. I'm unsure.

They used this for the extra speed in the game.

And I think players 13+ crashes Mac users.

If a PC user places a 13+ unit, it crashes for macs. But if a Mac user places it, everone can see it. If placing a unit in SF, put the unit as 256 and macs will not crash. 256 only one I found.

there is an 8x arena....

though i dunno, maybe they were lieing, it seemes only like 2x.

maybe they meant 8x as in NOT game speed

Map Revealer: 2x
Interceptor: 4x
Scarab: 8x
Of course, this may be outdated, but bleh.

THERE IS NO x8.

The scarab/interceptor seems so fast sometimes, that I think that the map reveler is 2X and the interceptor is 8X and there is no 4X.

I thought that it didn't increase the fireing rate, just the sprite animations?

Also, the scarab/interceptor is sometimes called 4x and sometimes 8x speed.

Good luck backing that up.
