Info:

This map is going to be an RPG with 3 factions, 2 worlds, and an alliance system for harder backstabbing.

STORY:

There is a war going for some 30 years after some soldiers under Imperial control rebelled against them. The three factions are the Imperials, Rebels, and Minutens.

*The Imperials have power in numbers; have a large amount of territory, and powerful machinery. Disadvantages are few cloaking abilities.

*The Rebels have many bases in caves throughout the badlands, use hit and runs many times, and use more stealth than strength. Disadvantages are weak weaponry.

*The Minutens have the advantage of shields along with main armor, many melee weapons (for dense sand clouds), and easily defendable realm. Disadvantages are melee weapons when dust clouds are not present.

The story begins marking the day and the days after a dimensional warp was found. The Minuten race evolved away from the human evolutionary path in prehistorical times. They were extremely intelligent, and invented and learned things quickly. Nevertheless, they were still part human for they one day made a mistake and threw their civilization into a parallel dimension. Many millenniums have passed after that has happened. Now, the humans have found one temple that was copied when the Minutens warped. What shall happen next? The Minutens will notice many changes…

***Protoss***
Archon--Minuten Advanced Soldier
Dragoon--Minuten Ranger
High Templar-- Minuten Sorceror
Probe--Gatherer
Reaver--Minuten Artillery+Scarab--Artillery Shell
Zealot--Minuten soldier

***Zerg***
Infested Kerrigan--Rebel Captain
(There may be units but those will be heroes or wild animal.)

MISC:

You will NOT be able to control the faction itself, but you MAY ally with it, if it allows you to.

Rebels and Minutens are USUALLY allies, but have their own disagreements.

The ally system is so you may not have secret backstabbing AS LONG AS you watch your setting carefully.

You may go into ANY cave.

Also, the aim for this is to be available to anyone with the original OR Brood War versions of the game.

Here is the map so far. You may play it but it is pretty buggy, and the briefing is slow. Still need to fix things. Also, for some odd reason it doesn't open with StarEdit, even though you can play it with normal StarCraft.

I suppose when you say "Factions" you are referring to Terran, Protoss, and Zerg, correct?

Why will Zerg units only be heroes? Do they have some specific purpose?

When I say "Factions" I mean the ingame factions of the Imperials, Rebels, and Minutens.

And the Zerg will be just random heroes for any faction, or random unit like wild deformative elephant if I didn't have enough units for the other SC Factions, in other words, almost the entire Zerg faction is untouched.
