"I've.. I've.. made it out of the labyrinth.. That damned place has consumed so many, others doubted and.. and said there was no way out.. I.. I can finally rest..Knowing.... I made it ...."

Those were your last words on the verge of death... Nursed back to health at the exit
of the labyrinth, you awaken in a hospital. Only to realize your nightmares are about
to be re-lived as the leader of the town outside of the Labyrinth, The Nexus, asks you
to accompany him in returning into the labyrinth in hopes of freeing those who have
been trapped inside and have yet to escape.

The Labyrinth however, is not a safe place. Generations and generations have died, crawling there way to the exit.. Some have learned to live in the labyrinth, accept the inevitable, never seeing the outside world. Others, reffered to as nomads, Spend entire lifetimes searching for a way out.

You must travel with the leader of The Nexus, encountering many foes and helping others like yourself escape the labyrinth. Until one day....

You find a Parchmant written in an ancient language
A local townsman studying the ancient transcripts is able to read it...

This is where your journey begins....

You chose the tileset very well, although installation would have been a very good choice too as a labyrinth.
The few screenshots I saw were great, and I hope the map doesn't fail me either!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I'm trying to make people realize good rpgs can be made in something OTHER than jungle... :>.<:

Thx for support..

Yeah, terrain looks awesome! It is really, really, really importent that you make the terrain good, so the player really feels like he's in an labyrinth.

What kind of puzzles will you add? And what kind of spells?
Will there be a lot of figthing or are the puzzels the major part of the game? I hope the last.

Both puzzles and fighting are incorporated equally, Because most of the puzzles... involve fighting. Anyway, im trying my best to give the rpg a dark feel to it, I added some creepy music, gives the whole game a nice feel, muted units and slower walking also gives a nice effect.

So yeah, the terrain is looking pretty good.. I will post more screenies when i get a chance and have a bit more finished on the map.
Spells have yet to be decided, the system is similar to the materia system in FF7 though.

Most spells however, will just be the basic spells ; Fire, Lightning, Ice, Earth, Summon. You know, things of that sort.

Im getting excited in await for your rpg i my self am making a rpg on jungle but am thinking of switching to Ice but im not sure either way this aint my rpg

I cant wait until you finish man when do you think this will be completed are atleast in its near to last beta? Man i do like the space terrain its not often u see a rpg on space its pretty uniqe i like it however i say this to just about everyone

Dont get my hopes up and crush them straight down to hell and let tehm burn for eternity.

Translation-Dont say stuff that wont be in there, get beta testers other than ur freinds (they will say they like it even if they dont) and if its not what the people want take it back and refine it too perfection

I dont have a set time for completion yet, due to unexpected problems i may have to work out, or glitches... it is impossible to set an exact date.. Besides! this rpg is going to be a very involving story plot, and to make sure people understand it all and grasp all the strange concepts, im going to need to either test alot... or just take my time..

As for your rpg tileset question, I honestly DO like jungle more than ice,but I think you will be paid more attention if you do it in ice.

ADDITION:
If anyone has any suggestions of areas they would like to see in a labyrinth, i could use a few more smile.gif

You need some ideas? Well, let me think...
- Living labyrinth: The labyrinth can change, when you pull a switch or whatever the walls start to move and paths are closed/opend. I don't know how you can do this without using buildings as movable walls, but that's your problem happy.gif, it whould be AWESOME when you manage to do this AND it looks good (so not an supley depot as wall or something)
- Random events like creatures which suddenly stand right next to you, scary sounds, suddenly get locked (by moving walls) and creatures spawn around you until the walls move back again (wich they do in 10 sec or something)
- Eating and drinking: Your hero('s) need to eat and drink enough to survive, you can take some food and water with you but you need to refill quite often, water can be found at wells, food can be get from fruit trees or something. When you haven't eaten for a while (when you do have food it will be eaten automaticly) you will die, of course happy.gif.

Ideas enough ? biggrin.gif

That moving walls idea woulda been REALLY helpful earlier... pinch.gif But anyway I like that food and drink idea as well, I just may use that.. Thanks Daedalus.

wow the moving walls reminds me of pandoras temple in god of war for ps2 i would defanately like to see that in there man!

Oh and i say if you do the fruit idea have some of it like poisonous so they still get there capacity of food but they go down to really low health are something

I think you should use the Cave thing in LoH because the spidermine lights would make the laberenth dark and spooky!!!

Funny Thing:
Last year i was actualy planing an RPG almost exactly like this one where you get out and are asked to go back into a Maze. Only you were looking for crystals inside it that would save the town from destruction...
If you need ANY help you can ask me smile.gif
