Story:Basically the world is going to go into an eternal darkness in 1000 days with every day being cold ,dark and miserable.The world being called Gaia.This is because the dwarves,elves,and humans have all taken from Gaia andhaven't returned anything.500days prior,Zidane the main character robs a bank because he requires money to pay his landlord.Zidane and the rest of the villagers know nothing of the upcoming events with the world being doomed and all.Zidane is caught and the King decides to send him on a Quest to try and save the world somehow even though The King knows there is no way to stop Gaia from going into darkness.And thus Zidanes quest begins which leads him to Mount Gaia where he meets the elders.They however know a way to help Gaia .But,it is risky,dangerous and will be extremely hard quest to complete......

Characters:Zidane-Young Boy with the power to save Gaia.Yet he knows nothing of his untapped powers.(Zlot)
Vivi-Zidanes best friend.He is a Swordsman.He dwells in the shadows only coming out when he is needed(Dark Templer)

However,so far I really don't know how to get screen shots...I know to press the print screen button BUT where do the screen shots go and what do I have to do to them

Are you going to finish it? Don't sound too confident. I've never seen an RPG that has been finished (that's good) that was in maps in production... Besides Legacy of Haean?

Who can you play as? What characters/classes can you choose?

Alright man I can help you out on this one. I also had troubles with posting screenshots on SEN. First like you said you press the prt scr button, and the .PCX files (thats what their called) are sent to:
<(C:) drive
<Program Files (Folder)
<Starcraft (Folder)
Then you should see a file that says something like this :Example: screen00
That right there would be the screenshot you took in the game. Then you are going to have to convert the .PCX file into .JPG for SEN to recognize it. You can do this by downloading Infanview, which can be found right here: InVanview Now for you to change the .PCX to a .JPG just simply open InfanView, click file<open, search for your screenshot that you took. Then click on it and open it. Then it will show you a preview of your screenshot. Now go to file<SaveAs then it that window click on the dropbar where it says "Save As Type" then find the directory of JPG - JPEG Files and save it. Now you have extended the file to a .JPG The last part for posting your image is on the area where you would post a map where it says "File Attachments" click on browse and get your file that you extended into the .JPG file but don't choose the file that is still .PCX then add that attachment, then just simply add into post. And wa la you have a screenshot all done for you. I know it might be alot to read, but it works perfectly. Hope this help.

And about your map, ha you got those names Gaia, Zidane, and Vivi from Final Fantasy 9 Well anyways give us some spells info and maybe some ways of you having any kind of items (if any) and will the battling system be like Final Fantasy? Good luck on your map though.

Alright Thanks but I am not going to be getting screens shots at the moment.I have to do a big report for tomorow.I havent worked on the map for a couple of weeks.I just started again this week.Likely tomorow I'll have screen shots up if I can manage to get them up.And by the end of the week I will hopefully have a demo of it.

Alright the battle system will be the run into the enemy and your in a fight system.It wil be a 2 player game with each player having likely atleast 1 character.Both players will also likely get a second character to use in fights.Spells will be farely simple.Examples imclude poison(plague),Bio(Summons 3 mutalisks to attack for about 1 second so each will get 1 shot off).The obvious Heal spell,Firaga(Yamato Cannon)(I love Final Fantasy too much),and Dual slash(summons another Dark templer for player 2 for 5 second).You can level up a total of 10times.Each level you will get 1 gas and 1 mineral which will allow you to upgrade your attack and defense.In addition to that,you can buy weapon or armor upgrades at the Armories scattered in each of the towns.I plan on adding side quests.This game may span through multiple maps.

Update on the story.
As Zidane and Vivi leave the town because of banishment,they head through Ariglyph as there goal is through it.Along they way they reach the small town of Kalm where you can get a side quest for some extra $$ or possibly the reward may be a armor or weapon upgrade.As they enter the town, a disaster has struck,a small horde of dwarves(most dwarves in this game are evil..Yes dwarves are finally the evil people Mwuhahahahaha)is attempting to raid the town.The dwarves however need to get over the drawbridge which isn't down(obviously).The towns army had just defended from one large attack and most of the soldiers were killed and the remaining were injured.If you want to get through to the Elven Badlands(route to destination) you are going to have to exit through the gate so you are going to have to defend the town all by yourself and a few allies...

Incase I didn't mention,in order to save Gaia,they will somehow have to alter Gaia's "brain".Squall being the new elder leader will tell you how to but thats at the end.

Hey Chocobo123 that sounds like a really good rpg that i would play, but how u said it and, the way u talked little about it, it dosnt seem like your gona finish that map, but im just saying from One Movie Map maker to another Rpg map maker that u should have more emotions toward ur map,

As soon as I finish Kalm and killing the attacking dwarves,I will make the badlnds.Then a demo will be released.It will be short though.

Legacy of Haean was placed in Map Showcase as it was finished.
I don't think it was in Maps in Production originally.

Steiner was never "cool" to me.But he may be added to the game.I want to add only protoss as playable characters so the player only has to upgrade protoss and then have a weak terran or zerg character.He may be a dark templer.Or a dragoon as I want each character to have a unit to attack air.So far my possibilites are a archon,a dragoon,and thats it.My idea was the dragoon could be a archer and the archon could be a dwarf,a good dwarf.You could get him after you encounter a dwarven group of rebelions.They are trying to overthrow the evil dwarven throan.I hope to give each character 2 or 3 spells.THats a total of 8-12.Is that possible?Maybe I could use multiple dropships...But what avout the acutal spells....I can't make 8-12 spells and then have room for more enemies...D=.

What if Zidane and Vivi each had 3 spells and then the archer and swarf have no spells or mayb 1....

Uhh can I just add this isn't a Final Fantasy game..............I just using the character names XD.Couldn't think of my own.And I didn't want to use em American names like Bob,Bill,Hank, or Bobby.I did't want to use em Japanese names like the ones the samuris destiny game.

This is going to be a very good RPG, By the looks of it, Its going to be great. I hope it is as fun as you make it sound.

We never had a Maps in Production forum back then. That's why it's there.

If the demo is good I will continue.If bad I might trash the game.

If you have actually read went to the original post, it says to host a private game on Battle.net and to move into the second slot. And it did say to go to the post before you play. In other words, READ!

Screen shots...I had to use black sheep wall and so 1 of them has a message which is part of the intro...It is in red writing so ignore it.

Pretty good. some suggestions would be.
your zealot the name color, is a bit overdone. I like maps with nice and simple, maybe one color or 2 color names.

How about if you can only control one character but in some battles a computer can help.Like in one part,the towns guards will help you kill dwarves attacking the town.Would only 1 playable character and about 2-4spells make this a boring game?
