fix your "issues", make is so that all bases have a similair path and distance base to base, and it shoudl be a good map.

If snow tileset's grey is too bright you should really consider turning down your monitor's brightness, because if you ever visit a white page like google, your retina will ignite.

The mains have the same opportunities, but if you want it more balanced, then you should put the same thing you put through the middle vertically, but put it horizontally.

I can't put the line of land horizontal, because of the positioning of the expansions. If I were to change the expansion locations, then the ramp direction would screw up the design.
What do you mean by diversity? With a few exceptions such as alchemist, there are no diverse maps.
Mineral placement is another thing I really don't look at until i think ive finished with the map design. Until then, i put together anything that will mine somewhat effeciently and mirror it to every base/expansion and so on, so i can test the map.
Name suggestions are still welcome from anyone that has them. Have a favourite song? Tell me its name and I'll consider it. As long as it sounds good, i don't care if it has nothing to do with anything about my map.
