lol besides the zonkey (zebra donkey) there has been another new animal...
its called a Pan Dog and it is a dog but has fur color of a panda.

go to google.com
and type Pandog under images.
its very cute i think

wtf now thas serious there.
ya they mkx breed each other a dog and a panda.
should they keep working on the extinction of the pandas than mixing these breeds

Hmm.... ugly. But whatever. We should really be combining the cell thingies of Giraffes and Elephants.... but whatever the bio scientists wanna do...

They do what they do for a reason.
And chances are, you can't combine girrafes and elephants.

That's a weird dog right there. Is it even possible to crossbreed a dog with a panda? I really don't think it's possible, but I could be wrong.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by iamacow on 2005-04-30 at 10:26:13
It isn't possible, this is just a dog with fur that looks kind of like a panda's. This isn't a serious topic at all, and the Zonkey one is bordering on not serious, too. These should probably be merged or one of them sent to Anything Goes.

Anyway, old.

lol buddy its real. theres only 1 kind of that dog
Report, edit, etc...Posted by iamacow on 2005-04-30 at 14:21:26
It's real, alright, but a panda can't breed with a dog.

its called, scientists censored.gif ed around with genes? biggrin.gif

omg... DUH YOU CAN DO THAT!!! Fool. By combining a firefly cell thingie with a tabacco plant cell thingie, they made a glow in the dark tabacco plant thingie. Trust me, its very possible. I know that for a fact.

NEXT BREED SHOULD BE A BREED BETWEEN A BULL DOG AND A SHITZU AND THE CAN CALL IT A BULL SHIT

That hybridization could actually work out, unlike a panda and a dog (regardless of breed). Who knows? A bulldog-shih tzu hybrid might've been bred already, but if it's been done, we haven't heard anything about it yet.

Lol

you poeple make me laugh..

inter crossing species (physically with intercourse pinch.gif ) is impossible, because of the genes and organs and what not.

theyre just NOT ment to go together..

those poor Bull shits..

when will the scientists stop?

www.com.au, finally someone who knows what I meant. Actually breeding is impossible, not combining genes or whatever, I won't pretend I have any idea what I'm talking about when it comes to that.
About the bull shits. that is possible, since they are both the same species, but the name doesn't quit fit any spelling of the second dog that I know of. Shih tzu and shi tzu are the only ones I can think of.

dude in this sick world you can almost do anything with animals.
scientist do all of this becuace there bored or they want to try things that can do some help in this world.

like making a polar bear in the rain forest instead of the arctic.
you just do know what happens next.

all it takes is a one sperm and one egg to make a new speices.

Some animals can be bred just by saying "Here is femal of X, and a male of Y"
other animals have to be crazily bred with all this wierd crap.

Most naturally mixed (not done in a labratory, but as in censored.gif in' eachother) species are steril tho.

are the "pandoggies" on the market?

Unless scientists know more than I thought and we have the technology of "splicing" genes, a pandog can not be created nor anything... I believe they did it the old fashion way, put them together and they breed. but still, the dog or panda sperm can't pass the dog or panda egg because the dog is a... dog and the panda is from the racoon family and only very close cousins can cross breed example: horse+donkey=mule. shouldn't this go on the zonkey thread lol? tongue.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif

The definition of species. An animal that has the ability to create vaiable offspring with members of that same population, and not those of another populatoin.
Basically that could be a cross between a panda and a dog, but if so it won't be able to reproduce.
And it isn't possible right now to cross genes between two mammals. The tobbaco plant was done with glowing bacteria. (I know because our APbio class replicated the experiment, except with mustard plants instead of tobacco, because we were testing something that has been only discovered in mustard plants, different story) Bacteria are different then other animals, because their genes are located on plasmids, which can incorporate dna freely in and out of them. This is the reason that bacteria can mutate so rapidly. This is the reason that they can share their DNA with many other things. You add an enzyme the DNA lysis, and then you put it back together. With animals, the process is much harder. Plasmids are basically a circle of one strand of DNA. Chromosomes, are a big jumble of a bunch of DNA. Not to mention introns, which are basically huge (97% I think) amounts of animal DNA that codes for nothing! They must be removed if you were planning on mixing genes of two animals. And then finding which genes would fix next to one another would be basically impossible. Most people know that animals have about 96% of the same genes, but the introns complicate things, because these segments that code for nothing affect the segments that code for protiens. (Which is what DNA does) If you mixed two animals genes together, the introns would differ, thus producing different effects than normal genes. The only way so far would be to inseminate an eggof one animal with the sperm of another, which produces the most applicable offspring. This Pandog might be that, but I highly doubt it. It would be much simpler to simply breed a dog that look like a panda. Plus it would be able to reproduce then. bored.gif

Basically there is no chance that this is a mix of a Panda and a Dog. They are not even in the same family. Dogs are in Canidae, while bears are in Ursidae. king.gif

You can't mate a plant with an animal. Also, that is not a "Pandog", it is most likely just a Chow Chow and a coincidence. To simplify what Rantent said, you need very closely related animals to be able to breed a new species. Does a panda look related to a dog to you? This is why beastiality does not create werewolves.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Rantent on 2005-05-18 at 04:04:06
And even those closely related animals won't make a new species. They will make a hybrid that cannot reproduce. Like a mule from a horse and donkey, they can't reproduce.
