Instead of adding passwords once making game, at the begining of the game... you push some buttons with some units, and people who joined doesn't know what the code is, they will keep saying "wtf is this" or "wtf is the code?" or "man dis suks". And people from battle.net don't actually join game names like sen or uhh... You can make the code for one button or more.

It's like using a combination locker with buttons.

If you play Doom 3, it's not just about lockin tha map, it could be getting items from that locker, you download a item to goto your PDA, and then they tell you the code for the locker combination.

You mean like in the game where you have Beacons all over and you push them in a certain order and something happens? Ifso, Done before. (by me tongue.gif)

By pushing beacons do you mean moving men to them? COPing them?

I think he means adding passwords to play maps. So that only the people who know the password can play the map. Which is pointless because everyone can just watch the replay and re-do the combo to get into the map.

Unless you made the password based off something displayed on the screen. The've done this in a few games back when all games were on floppy disks to help prevent people from mass distributing the game because back then they were very small ... Tie Fighter, Quarantine, and Alone in the Dark all come to mind.

Putting passwords in the map or putting a password for a locker combination. If you play Doom 3, you will know.

For us who don't play D3... explain what you are talking about.

On Doom 3, you get a PDA... once you pickup/download a PDA item, then turn on your PDA, get the message, it will say the combination/password for us to open the door/locker.

Just put on an crash unit where the password area is, so they can't view it. yawn.gif

Why?

confusing, i think he wants you to have a code for items then? But the best way is to make all the players same colors lol.

You can use multiple loading places, so eveyrone gets their own screeen and cant copy...

You do this:
Make each player have some hidden little thing so that no one else can copy.
Instead of creating units to show what they have done, use deaths.

Who cares about Doom 3.

With the new program that came out. The password systems are in jeopardy. We will have to think of new ways and more complex formulas to fully confuse "Trigger Viewer" viewers.

Im currently working on that.

(krazydrunkking, gee, doesn't your aviator familiar...) *Sarcasm.
