During the last rebellion of Arcanian Soldiers, Ecthelion teamed up with Jelamayne and Alfranoore to protect the great Archive of refuse. Since then Ecthelion has only trusted these two men to watch his back in any fight. He is also known to be a devout believer in the teachings of Nilunwe.

These will be the three characters you control in this mini rpg.
(Players 1-3, as ordered above)

How the game goes:
-The game will have a total of 5 different sceneries(3 in the demo).
-There will be a total of 7-8 Boss battles in this Mini-Rpg(My style of course). The Game's beginning bosses seem very ordinary and simple, but as you get farther you will see they just keep getting more, and more difficult and strategical to fighting your team.(The Demo only contains 4 bosses, which I believe to be quite easy to Scan and Defeat).
-At the beginning of the game you are just trying to cross a bridge to reach the thief X-Alviar. But as you get to him without a word or action, he finds a way to escape and the search is on.

Comments:
1-Yeah, the rpg is short, but the battling will make it seem long(or make it long).
2-There is a very annoying glitch in scenario 2. And if you come across it you will most defenitely know it. I have fixed it now, but it is not fixed in the demo. It shouldn't prevent you from finishing, but it can if it gets out of hand.
3-Scenario 2 is not impossible, keep searching!
4-The final boss in the Demo is one I am not sure of. I want to make him harder, but many have said it was hard enough. This is one thing I would like alot of feedback on, thank you.

Perfect, awesome. That's all I can say.
The plot and it's connection to the title is good and enjoyable. However, the characters weren't really developed. It seemed that the only person talking was Alfranoore. I couldn't see any problem in scenario two. Was it because of the DTs moving in and out of place? If so, I didn't experience that. I also don't think much of the general players won't have a time getting past scenario two, so no need to worry about that. As for the last boss, he seemed pretty simple to beat. I didn't even have to use my heal skill. A few lockdowns, replenish special skills and a destructive arcane skill will easily take him down. In fact, I think he was more challenging when we were beta testing your RPG, so yeah, I think you should make him a little more difficult. All in all I think it's a great and fun map that's for a demo. It would even be pretty decent standing alone. Can't wait for the finish version. That's right...no slacking!
*EDIT* I would also liked to comment on spelling. The words were capitalized incorrectly and was set in verses. Also there were quite a few typos, but then again, give me a map that doesn't have one. I don't know if that's what you wanted, but it is tolerable.

Thanks for the Reply Littlelives. I'm glad you enjoyed the demo. Since you said you found no glitches i will continue work on this map, and hopefully be done in a few days(end of the week max).

Yes, that would be the horrid glitch. I did fix it(HURRAY) but i was afraid it could still occur. Hopefully it wont.

I think you mean the other map of mine soon to be known as*censored*. yes i censored it as to no one is to know of the "secret project". But this i am pretty sure you didn't see yet dark.

Screenies? Maybe I'll post screenies later for when the next scenario areas are done, but there isn't much to post for screenies.

I believe i played this map before. I did alot testing of it in very basic stages where was only like 2 bosses done or something. This is very nice map, bosses are fun to vs and sometimes annoying due fact can be hard kill without all players. Can't solo this map alone because all players have special ability which is required during the game which makes it that you have to use team work to defeat enemies as well bosses. Nice spells and items during game =) GJ DB i like happy.gif

Updates
*Added New Support Skill you get from the 5th Boss(4th): Unleash Enigma!
(+)Enigma will have 2 random effects for each player. What I've come up with is none other then some status afflicting spell like substances. Some of them include:
-Invincibility
-Plague
-Hallucination replicas
-Destruction of all Weak enemy Units
-Mind Control
(Not using the DA Skill)
-Fade(Enemies don't see or attack you, non bosses only).
*And the unleash Enigma Support Skill will be reuseable(it's not consumed). It will consume some of your Magika, and energy when you use it. If you use it when you have no Magika left, you will only get 1 chance to abuse the enigma's requirements, but it will drain you of nearly all your life. The next time you have no Magika and use it, it will consume you as a power source.
*Selected Music on the off chance i would like to add some for this Mini-Rpg.
*Next Boss up and running! The next boss in the game, is an unmoveable mutated member of the X Clan. He Guards the entrance into Dal Maltra(X-Alviar's home) the ruined city.
*Fixed any glitches that were in the demo, and made the proper grammar calculations.
*Made Li-Cidnus, and X-Gargant much harder.
*Added in Permanent money system for kills.
*Added a few items you can get if you back and check certain areas after you've defeated a Guardian or Boss.
*Fixed an unseen glitch involving teleporting of 4th Boss
(his summons of course).

That's all for current Updates on this.(yeah in only An hour and a half, i perfected all this, yay me w00t.gif ).

Well, about your music... You "could" make one with music ands one with out music. Personally, I love music with a map. It just adds that much more feeling into the map. You would know this as we have talked about it via AIM. tongue.gif

Heh, yeah, music would be awesome. I would prefer you would use all three, but I understand about your concern for file size. A boss theme would give a thrill to the player. A general theme would set the tone and mood for the game. A "regular theme" would sort of be a mixture of both. Though if I have to choose, it would be a boss theme. You just can't ignore the excitement of a boss and music with it would be even better. Good work on your updates. One problem I find is that if people just download it off of battle net, they won't understand much of the game and how everything works. For example, a person could just abuse the non-consumable enigma support skill and when they use it the "last" time, they can go like "WTF" and go on ranting "This map is soooo stupid," thus the general public would hate it. So I encourage you to use in-game tips when they receive the skill. I mean it is a good concept, I just think people won't understand it (like with many of my maps) because in games I hosted for this, I had to keep emphasizing and stressing things like "Only use the replenish specialty skill when you have zero magika and energy (or mines)." Well those are my thoughts, good luck on your map, DB!

I prepared for that and did a nice short explanation of how Enigma Works. I don't think people will have a problem with understanding how it works.

Ok, since I have selected both Boss Music and theme music, i will add in the boss music, then take a pole on how the music for theme sounds(i will post a map).

The intresting setup of the game, is by not making it obvious how to use basic skills and apply them for maximum usage, it offers a high replayable factor. A noob will suddenly notice that if they used this skill, like this at this time, against this boss he could've won. Or he will see how to use skills effectively and will retry in an attempt to beat the game. After testing around, people would most likely play this again, just so that they could beat it. This was just a pole i got from testing it myself on b.net.

TESTERS NEEDED
Ok, Game will be close to complete pretty shortly. I will need testers for the next 2 bosses by tomarrow, so consider this a sign-up to test. Pm me or post here, it doesnt matter which one you choose.


On the Progression Note:
The Layout for the rest of the game is now complete. Be happy to know you will be able to backtrack through the previous visited scenes. I have also added more upgrade points for Heroes(through killing enemies) and all bosses have been made more difficult(except the first one).
I also have added in boss music into my current version of the game, sadly i wont post it for a poll due to the chance of Jacking and lazyness.
As you read in the other post, i started on the support skill known as Unleash Enigma. I have finished the triggers for effects but im having some second thoughts....

Need the Public's Opinion!:
Enigma is a Skill with multiple random effects. It is reuseable, but cant be constantly used do to the fact it consumes magika. I'm having second thoughts about if I should alter the name, the effects, or both. My question..
Should the Effects of Enigma be altered?(Effects posted in an earlier post.
and/or....
Should I change the name of Enigma?
Enigma's current magika cost is 5.

Based on these things, what is the opinion of you the players? Until i receive substantial feedback on this I will not be adding anymore into the map as of now. I need to make sure I like the spell systems before moving on to bigger battles(balancing).

Progression:
(+)Next Boss has been completed! The Battle takes place inside the structure of a sacred place to the race of our heroes. It is small, compact, and gives little room for running. The boss is extremely fast and melee. He carries a variety of 3 different spells, and one of them is re-useable. This boss fight will take alot of co-operation and concentrated fire on different targets. From the testing he feels a bit easy for my style of bosses, but testers claim he is hard so I shall leave him as is.

(+)Special Boss fight! I have prepared the boss fight for the one after the above. It will happen almost simultaneously after you defeat the other boss(heal directly after). It will be the longest boss fight yet, so don't think anything is over, it's far from done!

(+)Enigma! Enigma skill are being implemented as i speak, the skills feel like a hassle because I am not into them. I really would like feedback on what people think of the ideas on the Enigma spells. That is all.

(+)Mana Reduction! I have altered the magika cost for skills and Enigma. Enigma shall cost more, but you will be able to cast your basic spells a significant amount of extra times(most likely 6).

So far map is going really awesome done good job Tdnfthe1. Enimga sounds very creative and ownage along with all boss fights. Some which are very hard unless you have good team players who dont do stupid stuff. Can't wait for final version of this ^_^
