Alright ill tell you what this is about.
You make good looking terrain with a screen shot, and the brushes you used.
Ill give challenges on like game's levels and all that.
Ill be the only judge
Challenge:
On halo 2 design the WHOLE map on OutSkirts
The winner will recieve 35 minerals

35 minerals for Halo2... Outskirts...
Screw that... I might do it if it was like 300 minerals...
35 is jsut pointless expecialy for a huge terrain project like this...

Really pointless for the future too with the minerals... But if someone is actually willing to do it and it looks pretty good I'll give 500 minerals.

edit: actaully do part of it like you could do the building or the ramp when u start to kill the grunt, or like at the beginning where the plane crashes and all that.

Considering you probably will simple use the terrain in a map for Halo: Outskirts, why not just ask someone to collaborate on a map with you and make the terrain for it instead of trying to trick people into doing work for you?

if ure talking about the brushes i meant u dont have to include it but if you want ure skills to be on another persons map go ahead.

This contest is unfair because not everyone has Halo 2 and therefore no way of knowing about that map.

Only BeeR_KeG should be allowed to make contests in my opinion. And instead of usless minerals (35 is NOTHING) he could give the winner a spot in the terrain hall of fame.

No Way! I made the swamp contest, and still will pay deathknight when senV5 comes, because I needed some ideas for an area in an rpg I was making. Unfortunatly it was canceled, but the terrain now exsists for everyone to use.

I think that terrain challenges should be more regulated than they are now though. I mean you didn't give a date of when the contest will be held even, which seems sort of essential for a contest.

I think that terrain challenges should be in this format.

Name of area you want (eg. Swamp, Giant Tree, Halo 2)
Size you want it to be. (eg. Whole map, small section of terrain, single doodad) *note whole map probably will get less entrants
What tilesets (If you exclude any, or only in certain ones)
Generally what you want it to look like, if you want it to look like anything (post a picture or something)
The feel of the terrain (this would be extra for most things, but say you want to make a building look dreary and run down, specify!)

It's not even the "first" challenge.

Well I doubt you'll get anything. I don't have, and don't like Halo. It's like saying "Make me terrain of X area from Gladius for the Gamecube!"

Which level is the Outskirts? Is that the beach or the inside of the start of the game?

Haven't played halo in a long time but I'm pretty sure it is the second level. The first level (if you don't count the level where you get your equipment)was Cairo Station.
