I believe that organzitions like P.E.T.A. are a total crock-o-shit... They are way to extreme and are very hostile. Although, I do agree to what they are fighting for. There are many sick people out there that treat animals so badly, it's just disgusting. There are many videos at www.petatv.com (I think that is the right address) and look for videos. I just want to know if other people feel the same way I do about how P.E.T.A. is WAY too extreme in their acts against animal cruelty...

PETA isn't People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals; it's actually People for the Unethical Treatment of People. They don't give a about other people, especially those who don't share their beliefs; they will drive other people's livelihoods and reputations into the ground in the course of their mad crusade. I agree with their cause (to some extent), but I definitely disagree with their methods.

Also, I hate to make generalisations, but from what I've seen of animal rights protesters, they're a bunch of hippies. I saw a group in the street, handing out leaflets, and they all looked a bit weird. They were screaming with flecks of spit on their lips - not nice.

I also find it hypocritical when they go to such extreme lengths as burning down the farm of a guinea-pig breeder, exhuming his wife's corpse and sending him bits of her body in the mail (True story).

What did I tell you? PETA will stop at nothing to drive the livelihoods of people they don't agree with into the cold, hard ground (razing a guinea pig breeder's farm, in this instance). They also have a cavalier attitude towards shock tactics; I mean, who would go as far as exhuming a farmer's wife's corpse and sending bits and pieces of her body to him through the mail? PETA would, and they did.

Well, I don't think that people should really beat an animal for no reason, but P.E.T.A. just takes that too far. These califorian members are always comming into our town and simply annoying the heck out of the rest of us. There really shouldn't be these court cases for animals. It's just stupid in my opinion. People should not be wastefull of resources though, which is why I support parts of animal protection. People who kill animals for their skin alone, or for fun, are not in the right. I think that if you take an animal, as in kill it, you should use it to the fullest extent as you can. It's like people who would throw away money. (Which I have done before )

Sure its alright to kill other animals and what not to survive, that's how it is in nature, but to treat them in a cruel way is not good. We need to eat other animals to survive, but we raise them so easily that they cannot fend for themselves to try to survive, because we basically raise them to one day be eaten. So at least they should have a good quality of living.

Well, the funny thing is, right after I go to bed everyone posts... Stupid Timezones...

I was reading about one of the acts that A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front, I think...) did, and the people in this group are just ing nuts. They make P.E.T.A. look like little chldren in their acts. A.L.F. has and is still burning buildings down, beating people to a bloody pulp (mainly hunters, people who wear fur, conservatives... So basically rednecks.). The crazy part about it is, the crzy bitch who runs P.E.T.A. denies any affiliation with A.L.F. when around 2002-2003 she had given A.L.F. $15,000+ in money. Two days after A.L.F. got the money a building was burned down... (Was the money used for explosives?)

Well, racist, specyist, doesn't really matter to me.
I have nothing against the eating of any animal in particular, or the use of animals as a food source when necesary and unwasteful. It's being unnecesarily cruel, and/or wasteful, that I dislike.
For example, people will, for no apparent reason, kill some random spider, or ants, or start attacking wasps(ya, attacking something is the best way to make yourself seem non-threatening!!). I don't feel sorry for anyone that's stung by a wasp, or bee, or whatever; everytime I've seen, or heard of, someone getting stung, they deserved it.

As far as the topic goes, I don't know enough about P.E.T.A. to say anything about them.

The animal kingdom sucks for animals doesn't it? They have little or no control, we could kill them soooo fast and yet, harbor them and make them grow. Humans......we are so smart that we realize we can eat them for food and most of the time they are afraid of us and run away.
