yeah i've been looking at all the awesome terrain made by you guys and i was wondering what programs you guys used to do this? I kinda wanna try to make my own stuff too. If possible do you think you could give me a link?
I like to use Starforge, but that maybe isn't as user-friendly as SCMdraft... Well I don't know, don't use SCMdraft =D
SCMDraft is far better than StarForge for terrain, unless you want to make an entire map (minimum 64x64 which is 4096 tiles) which might be a little time consuming. StarForge will mess up your ISOM, but SCMDraft won't, so if you want to save some time go with SCMDraft.
I use StarForge for everything. SCMDraft is a little annoying to me.
SCMDraft is wonderful! I use it for most of my terrain, and starforge for selct things that it does better.
Well, I use SCMDraft for isometric terrain. Only because it kicks the living shit out SF's isometric capabilities. But, the square terrain is harder on SCMDraft because the tiles are so tiny. Plus, I like how SF has a memory of the tiles you have used. ALSO! SF has the terrain pallates that you can edit and change and what not.
I use SCMDraft 2 for all my terrain needs except when it is absolutely necessary that I follow a terrain pattern and have to use brushes to make it go by faster.
If Sf doesn't work for you like it didn't for me

get scm its not the best but it could do same thing Sf can, other then for triggers and lap which i don't get on SCM

some people from other forums are saying stuff like starforge can convert entire tilesets
if it can, i dont know how. does anyone know how i can convert entire tilesets, if possible, with starforge or another program?
I'd say SCMDraft would be best.
Guys, this isn't an opinional debate. He wanted to know where to get the programs and they were actually right on this website, he just didn't bother looking. So leave this topic alone.
