ok hers my problem. I( have starforge 2.2 but i don't know how to create my own brushes. One can someone tell me how to make my own brushes and secondly is there a video tutorial on how to make your own terrain? Things like a waterfall, or short stairs or a huge tree. something along those lines.

How to make Starforge brushes:

  • Go to the Terrain Layer.
  • Select the tiles you want in a box (left-click + drag).
  • Right click and select Create Brush.
  • Select the new brush from the list and give it a name (optional).
  • Press Save to save the brush to a file (to use with other maps).  You can save more than one brush to the same file, to make your own brush set.
How to use other people's brushes:

  • Enter the Custom dialog under the terrain panel.
  • Click the Load button to select the brush file you want (.sfb file, I think).
  • Click the brush in the menu, then click where you want it on the terrain to place it.
Pretty basic.

Or else you could just make a brush and then you add tiles to it, just as you make terrain in StarForge. But in the screen where the brush is, and you ajust the size in the top left corner

Hmm. I get the custom terrain thing, but if I wanted to make a bridge tile (the middle of the bridge in jungle tileset), how do I make a tile of the middle of the bridge without all of the water and sides of the bridge? The tile size adjuster in StarForge only moves the bottom and right sides of the image "crop" box, so if a section of a brush that I want is in the middle, I can't get only that section (only the upper-left corner is available if I lower the brush screen size). How do I get a middle part of the brush, and only the middle part (for making wider bridges, etc.)

I don't really know what you mean, but I guess you should right click on the tiles you want to be transparent.
