I'm wondering if you could have a map spotlight, like you choose from all the maps a random one, and help generate interest into the map you have chosen... that way people can know about more maps rather then the few going to the download section... It would be interesting wouldn't it? Not just the official staredit.net map team, but the rest of the community. It would be AWESOME!

Thats pretty interesting, id actually really like to see that... This is another idea and it maybe asking much considering we dont have Alot of staff but a Map of the month... SEN staff creates a Map each month and posts it on the last day of the month... but like i said it maybe asking much

I don't recall SEN staff people getting any maps out at all since 6 months... (except HBC and ZAD)

Its an idea, and it could work. I'm making a map right now, just life has been really busy for a few months. Tazzys coming out with something.
SEN Map section doesn't only mean staff. It can also mean SEN active members that made REALLY good maps.

Yea it would be a cool idea but like SP said... you would need like 4 Active Map makers on as staff who all are working on the same map to get it done in a month... especially if you wanted it to be a Good map. But it is an idea for the future.

Accually, Clan(U) and us may make a deal soon that may include them in the spotlight too.

Even better, i just included the fact they maybe staff considering they are dedicated the map to the production of SEN but if not its all good... works either way.

I i thought you ment map of the month like people vote for maps in the data base. And every month the votes are compiled and one map gets the "spot light". It seems to me you guys are just talking about new maps.

Well i think thats is what was sort of going along with what Revelade had in mind i just braught up another idea that we have a group of people create a "Map of the Month" that will i guess be presented in an SEN map section.

Map of the Month doesn't have to come from you Volt, it could just come from the rest of our community... seeing as we have plenty of maps in the database... The main reason I suggested this is I don't want a VOTE to occur, because people will just choose the one that is the most popular. I want this to be placed so that maps that are unique and innovative that are usually played once on bnet and get ignored, get to be seen by the public masses... That way people will understand how the map is to be played instead of playing it once then forgetting it their whole life... Think about it, do you really want just popular maps out there? Or maybe a map you thought was interesting because it had something new, but it never got its deserved attention.

That way people can get to know more different map types and hopefully make maps that are new and fun.
