Hey, im sure its probably already here on the site but could somebody tell me how to actually use the mods? I'm unsure if i just load them into my starcraft directory or if i have to do something else and do i need any special programs to do it? Finally, how would i remove it if i didnt want to use it anymore?

If it is a MPQ file you are trying to use.

Open MPQDraft
Click Load MPQ Patch
In programs click Starcraft once, And in Components, Click Starcraft once.
Click Next
Click Browse For MPQ's
Find the MPQ file your trying to use
Click Next
Click Finish

From there, Your starcraft will be loaded with the mod. And now you should be able to play with the mod.

In that mod, Build a zealot, And see what you can do wth him happy.gif
Try doing those following steps with the MPQ file I provided.

EDIT:
It may not work, But now you know what to do.

You don't need to do anything to remove them. Just close starcraft. And re-open starcraft, And it will be back to normal.

Yeah, you can safely assume that all mods are temporary, they only last for one session of the game. It is possible to create a mod that permanently affects your game, just like the Blizzard patches do, but the chances are you won't find one of those here.

If you are to do that, You would have to take the chances that Blizzard will not find out, And take legal actions.

But if you want to do it, And take those risks, You can just edit evrey thing, In all of the MPQ's. And do as you wish with them.

Pinned. Not everyone knows how to use a Mod and I found this very usefull.
Especially like people like me, who all they know about mods is that you can change a whole bunch of things.

Yes, But if you save over BrooDat, And over StarDat, Without making a copy of it, You will not be able to change back, Unless you go on the internet and look for clean ones. But it is most likely you will find one that is already modded.

So before you save over evrey thing, Make sure you make a copy of it where you will remember it is, And will remember not to delete it.

I'm just gonna put this as a FAQ...

Too many pinned topics look ugly.
