The zelda map im making is 1/8 of the way done hoping to be done by july 4..I've tried it and it took me a while to get passed the first of the eight dungeons i think 30 minutes,many weapons and sidequests I've put a weapon system in so you can switch weapons while fighting with a movement of a unit... 7 players. 256X256
Any of you guys have any ideas for this map,to add in? dont be afraid to post!!!

i think it should have towns, and maybe even time travel like in the ocarina of time. u can be young link, (maybe a marine) and adult like (maybe a firebat/ghost) sounds orginal and gl with the map

here might be a neat idea for your zelda map.

make a location near a wall can when ever link or zelda or what ever his name is gets to location it puts a spider mine down as a bomb. So that way you can have secrets then telopart them to a dungen on part of map not used to open treasure chest or gain a heart.

Another idea.

When or if you do the secret passage and if he gains a heart remove that unit and create another unit with more life.

put some sprites in and put some mineral chunks behind the sprites. And when a unit walks up to the chunk add 1 mineral to minerals. This is a neat way to gain money. after money is found remove it and only once each time.

sorry for all the ideas maybe u can use them or not.
but any ways heres another one.

for a passageway put in some null for the floor is missing. and put some fire bats in the passage to make them bats.

this i belive came off of snes zelda
create a forest that has a maze in it. To get a new sword. And then create another unit or upgrade unit on spot.

this one is off of windwaker
set a iteam where the unit can't get to it. Gravel hook it by shooting it or what ever. to gain the iteam.

zelda wouldn't be zelda with out the kool little mini games
heres an example of a mini game to put in. create 4 units in a square have zelda stand about 3x3 away move units with p12 for them to move rly fast let zelda fire in one place get the iteam or cash of what ever he killed. Kinda like rolette.

ok thats all my ideas for now on this topic maybe ill come up with some more for you. Good luck on your map.

First off, which Zelda are you basing this on?

Second, this shouldn't be in Map Showcase unless you're showcasing a map. A one paragraph intro about how its 1/8th done is not what this forum is for.
