I don't know where to look for Dark Swarm. I am not sure if it is a Unit, Sprite, or really what it is. So, I was wondering if anybody knows? If so, can you tell me? happy.gif

It's not a sprite, it's a unit but casted by a defiler.

Actually all units are flingies and all flingies are sprites. So all units are sprites, they're just special ones. It will be helpful to know this if/when you get into intense graphics and animation redesigning in StarCraft.

Now as for your question, it is actually possible to derive a GRP file from an ID number in one of the DAT files. I hope to write a tutorial on it one day, but there are too many other tutorials to write lol...

True, But if he was only editing the dark swarm's .GRP file, He could just run it through RetroGRP, And do it all from there.

If you are unfamilliar on how to do this, Please check this out.
