Haveing the (U) in front of your name makes it a "illy" on battle.net so you can't create names with (U) in the front. Also there was a Sniper(U) briefly but he wasn't one of the first members. The person your refering to is (U)Sniper977 who was one of the members before even Me. He is now known as AcCuRsEd.

dashrike ironicly we did something alot like that in the channel. I made an acount "I-Am-Bolt_Head" and we eneded up with about 20 people in the channel with names like "I-Am-Colt_Head" and such. Then shadow(U) signed on and didn't know what was going on so he tagbanned us lol.

On battle.net all acounts must be 3 characters long and a max of 15.
Acounts can only start with a letter or number.
There may not be more than one non letter or number in a row in an acount (ie: Bolt__Head or Bolt()Head )
The following characters are banned. ` ~ ! @ $ ^ { } | : ; " ' = I belive thats all of them that were once legal.
There are also a few curse words that are not allowed in acount names.

I assume "illy" to mean illegal? Why is that? Why would those specific combinations of letters make you illegal?

Illegal is just the name that was coined, using those certain characters was banned because apparently it let people use bad words in their name even tho ur not sposed to (E.g. @$$) They didn't delete the ones that were already created im guessing so they don't make anyone mad. Illy's are rare now since alot expired, alot of people collect illys and trade them including me closedeyes.gif . I've created some myself a long time ago when i could, like [CR]SiLeNT when i was part of Clan Ross, and myy personal favorite -=$iLeNT=-. Had I known about illys id have not let them get expired, but i quit sc for about 3 years so eh.
