I sit here and watch the television as the aboriginal community continues to demand special rights because: "they're different".


What if we all were citizens of the world?

I believe that maddox brought up a good point on this. He said that everyone is so busy making sure that all cultures/races are given equal treatment that more barriers are placed. Take immigration quotas for example.

Aboriginal communities wish to keep out white social workers, and demand that it is their right for racial sanctions such as these.

I think it should be noted that a social worker is trying to help the families, and though the aboriginals are trying to be inward based, they are only hurting themselves as they do not possess qualified social workers. On top of that, they are putting hundreds of social workers out of work.

But sadly these types of situations are generated because of these outlooks. Things like racism, or segregation in various forms(not just racial) continue to live because people say hiring these people will make our buisness less effecient, and not as professional as we would like. While this is usually evident in most cases, the fact that others are excluded because of things out of their control is not fair. Thus this situation will be randomly generated all over the world, until people either start to view all as equal, or the group being sanctioned out rises above their confinement(what ever it may be) and become accepted or qualified. Yes this means they must work twice as hard, but it is the safest and usually most respecting solution. I dont expect people to view colors, or origin as equal until we venture out into a world divided by much bigger things. Such as dividing us by where we were born, what planet we're from, what quadrant of the galaxy, etc.

Imho, I think that the real keyword should be tolerance (mainly towards foreign insights/cultures)... but wth, you lot may be onto something here.

Accept others for what they are and they eventually accept you for what you are. That and one of my fav' mottos: "My liberties end where someone else's (ones) start."

Prejudice is ingrained into all of us for some reason. We subconsciously classify people according to their height, weight, skin colour, facial features, missing limbs(!), clothing, hair and a host of other things, before we know anything about them. It's either human nature that causes this prejudging, or the result of conditioning and stereotypes, or maybe a bit of both.

In other words, inequality due to people's prejudices will never be eradicated.

Odd, i was thinking about a topic like this before.

Prejeduce.

We constantly judge people on crap loads of things, age, sex, race, and captainwill stole what i was gonna say. But even the least prejeduced person EVER has some prejeduce in him/her.

One of these days, I shall take over the world and promote 100% racial equality

But prejeduce will never be gone. Maybe racism, if you burn every racist with a highly organized superarmy.

Theres a piece of prejeduce in us all.

Perhaps racism is due to a lack of tolerance; perhaps it's due to human nature.

Whatever the fact is, it's going on and there are some who want to stop it and some who just simply don't give a damn, and that's where the problem is. Basically, let's all give a damn for equality.

Thought it will never end, ever. The quantity and the type of which can be reduced.

I recognize a white man as a white man, and I recognize a black man as black. I recognize a Hespanic as a Hespanic, and a Russian as a Russian. To not recognize such is an insult to heredity and our history.

We are the result of the strongest who survived. That's why I cannot see how some people bother to waste their lives away turning their brain into mush through drugs. Our families have done too much for us in the past. They have resisted the Black Plague; they have done too much to have segregation hit any harder now.

What would happen if say, in ten thousand years we all are so multi-raced that we're all alike due to breeding amongst all races? That would be a good step towards removing racism (though perhaps not the right step).

This is another Serious Disscussion topic that irritates me. Racism in the past 30-300 years has decreased beyond belief. Racism has only became a smaller issue as time has gone on. Back in slave days, that was extreme racism. The past 30 years racism has become such an overdiscussed topic, but for some reason I'll talk about it.

The most discriminated race/person in the world is the White, American Male. You can not even begin to argue against this, it is so obvious. If Chris Rock was white, he would have been sentenced to life in prison.

Rap Artist Method Man said "The difference between whites and blacks in basketball is the blacks play the game, the whites watch the game." A white man wouldn't dare say something like that.

Last year, Radio and TV football analyst Rush Limbaugh had stated "The national football league wants to see a black quarterback be a superstar." Two days later he was fired from ESPN. The entire African-American culture was shocked and hurt by that comment.

In my opinion, it really pisses me off. The other day I was driving to my dads house and there were some African Americans playing in the street, I gently tapped on the horn, because they might not have seen me, and one yelled "Shut the , cracker" Stuff like this is what i am talking about. For some reason black people can be racist towards us, but if we dare say anything about them that isn't near as offensive, the whole community flips out. I could keep going on about this for hours...

Oh ya totally, and supposidly when some black crimmals take off and start running from the cops and gets tackled, now its police brutality. Oh COME ON, how the hell are we suppose to stop you from running? Ask you nicely?

If I was a cop, shit I would be like "You stupid motha a, what the made you think you could get away?" /sarcasm

But ya, if your not white then you can say anything you want, Jews can bring up the holocaust, Blacks can bring up Slavery, Hispanics can bring up....mmm...illegals? what ever they not important. /sarcasm

In the future, I believe they'll make this little computer translator which automatically translates what other ppl are speaking. Actually, they might already have that thing, but it's definately something rare right now.

I think the most common language in the world is English. Think about it; we know that India is the second most populated country in the world (it closely trails China but in the future will outnumber them) and just about everyone there speaks or knows some English. And Add all the people from the united states, Great britain, some precocious areas of Japan and Hong Kong, and alot of the British Colonies like in Africa, that's a large sum of people.

Let's say a white dude is fired. Well, your obviously not fit for the job.
Lets say a black person is fired. "RACISM!!!"

Times won't reverse to the extremes that white people inflicted upon other races. The fact is, our (white people's) ancestors messed up bad, and now we're paying the penalty. You know what? Sucks to be us but it's still not nearly as bad as what their ancestors have been through... sure it'd be great if people could just forgive and forget, but part of what helps us progress is remembering.

Justice is funny that way.

I don't know how bad it is where you live, but if you fire some loser who can't do their job, nobody will call you racist (you'd be racist if you kept him)... as long you provide a good explanation.

So yeah, people get away with a lot of bullshit, but I rarly see anyone who actually means it.

Psycho, I think you're wrong. We shouldn't have to suffer for something we know was wrong in the first place, we have no control over that.

Well... I live in jersey, but Im talkin Teh york. (New York...) Anyway, it could happen. It could very well happen. Just add to my scenario with your imagination.

And why would i pay a penalty for something i never did? Ay?

Why should criminals pay the price for crimes they never intend to comit again? That's just life. Yes it's wrong, but it's not like we're really suffering here, our freedom of speech is just a little more restricted.

I'll tell you my answer so I don't keep you in the dark. The answer is to make an example of them so that in the future people will be less likly to steal. When people call you a cracker, or make fun of you for being white or some dumbshit, don't worry about it, they're just jerks (for lack of a better uncensored word). When that guy yelled at you for warning him you could have just yelled out the window "I didn't want you to get hit!" and if he had any nuts at all he would feel bad for heckling someone just trying to help him (in this case from severe injury). Horns are loud, they startle people =-O

But come on, you make it sound like it's so hard to be white. You can't have it all. To be honest with you, America is still racist, and I'm happy being white. No, I'm Racist but some of the people that hire employees are. They're a little bit more inclined to take white people over hispanics. (Even ones that speak perfect english) As evil as it may sound, I'm happy to have racism on my side in a greedy sort of way. But my other side says,

And that side is about half right.

This whole poltically correct bullshit with racism towards white people, take a big deep breathe, and deal with it. This whole problem is to be resolved with the next genertion, or the one after it.

I agree... but I'm unsure what you mean by Liberals... maybe you just mean the Liberal party, because liberal is just an incredibly fair way of thinking.

It's not hard to be white, im just saying that if anyone's racist these days, its them.
