I have begun construction of the entire Star Wars saga in a campaign. You guys have probably thought that I had given up map making, with me posting little to nothing about maps. I mentioned an Episode III RPG. Sadly I will not be doing that stand alone map.

However, I will be doing the entire Star Wars saga from Episode I the whole way through Episode VI : introducing The Star Wars Campaign!

Each map will be single player (but they'll have to be played in multiplayer for times to work correctly). Some maps will be movies, some will be RPGs, and some will be simple slugfests. You get to play nearly every scene included in the movies, with the look and feel of the masterpieces. I'm already nearly done with four of the maps, and construction will soon begin on all the others, doing a little bit on each one at a time. I think I'll just go ahead and release the spiffy Platinum Campaign at Thanksgiving (United States) and then the Special Edition at Christmas, including new scenes (perhaps a Shadows of the Empire mini-campaign?) and some spoofs.

This will dwarf my planned Battle for Middle-Earth and even my coveted uber-secret Lord of the Rings RPG.

Cool sooo when are you expecting to finish all of them...and i think you should make 2 of each episode one movie and one RPG that would be Amazing!

I said Thanksgiving (US) and Christmas for the Platinum and Special Editions, respectively. Let's not forget that each episode will contain a varied amount of maps, depending on how many scenes are in each one. However, I believe that the playing time (3 hours) will be equal for each episode.

You should watch all the movies and study them, have in your maps little cool details from the movie that can be seen in the actaul map. Also try and add in one or two songs from the sound track. I suggest the main theme, battle of yavin theme and imperial march. You could also add in duel of the fates and the battle of endor songs too.

Try and also be specific when naming units and back round units. Try going online and getting all the character and species names.

If I had sc working then I would so play this when it comes out, good luck!

Instead of watching all the movies, try browsing through this site.

I didn't really like that site. I'd rather capture the essence of the movies by watching them, as STARS-Chris suggested, even though that has always been my plan.

Mission briefings will be done in this manner:

The beginning of each episode will have the actual scrolling dialogue of the movies, and additional chapters in each episode shall have little briefings to update the player. This campaign will be 60-100 mb for 20+ maps. This fall I'll look into hosting my own little website to hold whatever the heck I feel like holding in it.
