Staredit Network -> StarForge -> String problem in Starforge
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DoomGaze on 2005-06-06 at 21:55:46
When my map hit the 1027 string limit, I used ProEdit to change the string limit to 2000. From then, I continued working on the map with Starforge. However, when I had about 1035 strings or so, anymore strings I created were changed into a space when I saved the trigger. I tried creating strings with SCMDraft2, but they wouldn't show up in StarForge. However, when I re-checked the existance of the strings in SCMDraft2, the strings were still there.

Anyone got a solution or reason for this?

Do the strings change to a space if you use an existing one (i.e. pick one from the list?)? Starforge doesn't have support for maps with more than 1024 strings. If you can, try to recycle some of the strings by using pre-existing ones. Otherwise, you might have to use something else.

Yea, they change to nothing. I thought SF supported maps over the string limit. Oh well. Issue resolved.
