Next time, try and be a little more "filling" in your description. Two words aren't enough.
Anyways, www.google.com. And Type "MPQ Compactor". Then you can just browse through the sites.
compactor? u mean like to mix multiple MPQ's into one MPQ? thats what WINMPQ is for... IF thats what you are looking for.. you can get it in the DLDB here on SEN, if thats NOT what your looking for, then you need to be a lil more specific on the description...
i have arsenal 3
and i ahve mpq draft
when i finish making all the changes in arsenal 3
i saved it in a folder then i open mpq draft and trying to make it into that wheel thing where u can play the changes but it say a error ouucur
i think i am missing a mpq compactor to make mpq draft read my arsenal 3 files
Arsenal doesnt edit MPQ files, it edits the Dat files, and you need to get WinMPQ to add all of arsenals Dat files into an MPQ, then run the MPQ with MPQDraft.
And you have to make sure you save the aresenals dat files as the correct name or nothing will work.
Marco, yes, you are missing a step with either the MPQ Compactor or WinMPQ. In every mod you make, all your files have to be compressed into one MPQ file which StarCraft will read. MPQDraft will apply MPQ mods to StarCraft. It looks like the step where you combine your Arsenal III DAT files into one MPQ file is the step you have missed.
Try going to the
How to write a StarCraft MOD thread and follow the first tutorial step-by-step. It will give you all the details you need to turn Arsenal III files into MPQ files which you can then run with MPQDraft.
also in the mpqs the files like Units.dat and stuff need to be changed to arr\Units.dat
except for special files like stat_txt.tbl you need to rename that to rez\stat_txt.tbl or some of the uncommonly used files will be in scripts\file_name_here or Units\race\unit and some uncommonly used modded files go in other areas but ill leave it to you to look it up if you use them
